In August 2013, [redacted] and [redacted] purchased a Bennington pontoon boat powered by a Yamaha 115hp outboard motor from River City Boat Sales (RCBS)At the time of purchase, Yamaha Motor Company included its standard year Factory Warranty Coverage on the motor (8/9/to 8/7/2016), along with a promotion for an additional Years of Yamaha Extended Service Coverage (8/8/to 8/8/2018) at no additional charge to the [redacted] sRCBS did not sell warranty coverage to the [redacted] s as it was provided by Yamaha Motor Company at the time of sale Yamaha Motor Company is the sole administrator of the warranty coverage and any claims, not River City Boat Sales In June 2017, Mr [redacted] brought their boat and motor in for service due to overheating and running issues Per Yamaha warranty guidelines, RCBS submitted a warranty coverage claim to Yamaha Motor Company Yamaha requested RCBS take the motor apart and supply pictures so they could determine whether there was a manufacturer defect Upon review and after interviewing the customer, Yamaha determined that no manufacturer defect had occurred, therefore, it was not covered under Yamaha warranty As the customers are aware, RCBS tried to get the motor replacement covered under warranty through Yamaha, but ultimately Yamaha denied the claim RCBS advised Mr [redacted] of the results and worked with him to expedite replacing their damaged motor with a new Yamaha 115hp engine MSRP for a new Yamaha 115hp motor is $11,and removal of the damaged motor is and installation of the new unit is $for a total of $12,RCBS gave the [redacted] s a discount of $2,for a total of $9,along with getting their repaired boat back to them in a timely manner for the summer boating season

along with a promotion for an additional 2 Years of Yamaha Extended Service Coverage (8/8/2016 to 8/8/2018) at no additional charge to the [redacted]s.
