Sales tax seem to have extra fees not included in the bill of sale.I am trying to pay the sales tax on this car I purchased from this lot. On the bill of sale it says one thing, at the lot they are saying another I can only reach the owner by text messaging and he has employed a man that is shady in character attempt to tell me I still owed money on the car. I disagreed since he wasn't even employed there when I bought the car. The bill of sale says State sales tax 175.00 / Local sales tax 60.75. According to the employee I owe 400.00 where did the extra 225.00 come from. I can't get a straight answer. Desired SettlementI would like them to explain to me where this 225.00 came from. Clearly that is not what the Bill of Sale states, if it is as his employee says then they need to get control of they're books I refuse to pay more on this car then I already have.I simply want to pay whatever the taxes are and obtain my title. If they won't do that then they can refund my entire 2,500.00 and I will deal elsewhere with someone who can be more honest.Business Response First note, this customer is just now paying her balance which was due over a year ago. Car should have been repossessed. She bought the car with a balance owed and taxes owed to get title. The car should have been towed the first month she was late in early [redacted] I was very nice since this was the second car she purchased from me. But after over a year had passed I finally contacted her and she says she does not owe the full amount which is clearly on the bill of sale, which is signed by her. My employee and I both told her to bring in the remaining balance and taxes which she owed. Clear is daylight on the contract she signed over a year ago. Lets also note the fact the she cursed out my employee and sent me texts that were calling my employee distasteful curse words. Third lets note I still did not repossess this customer's because I respect people. Fourth note, she then paid the balance and we immediately gave her the title. So, she finally pays the full amount and Now she has filed a complaint against a company.Our company which extended her contract over a year for FREE WITHOUT REPOSSESSION OF THE CAR. How does she repay us, she files a complaint with Revdex.com. Its very hard to survive automobile business and really puts a bitter taste in my mouth when I go out of my way to be nice and lenient to customers and then they do stuff like this. Its very discouraging to live in [redacted] my whole life and treat all customers like family, then as soon as they can not pay their car note they act like I'm the bad guy. Please do not let one bad apple ruin our reputation We have worked on for the last seven years. Your employee is not pleasant nor friendly and I had a terrible experience with him when buying the first car the only reason I purchased the second car was because he no longer worked there. I have nothing bad to say about the owner other than he became unavailable. If I harbored ill feelings towards this company I would not have went back for a second car.The balance is paid in full as of now and the car is mine ending my dealing with this company. Going forward I hope they are a little clearer in there policies and how they explain things.
