This is truly the worst business I've ever interacted with They did not drop or pick up the container on the committed date, and did not have the size we were originally promised I had to call days later to tell them the container was still not delivered Unauthorized, they ran my credit card TWICE (for one container) which I was told was "just to have on file for unpaid invoices" I spoke with the owner to make him aware of the situation, the lack of communication, and extremely poor customer service I let him know he would no longer have my business moving forward...He let me know.."He didnt care at all" I would recommend [redacted] or [redacted] over River City

Review: 6/29/2015I contacted River City Rubbish after speaking with a brick contractor about replacing a raised porch in need of repair. He suggested removing the existing porch and recommended this company.The company advertises a 10 cubic yard unit for tighter spaces and this is what the brick contractor suggested as well. I asked if the unit could be placed in the front yard which is 3 above road grade.There was no issue with placing it in the yard. Before ordering the unit I re-called the dumpster company and described in detail what would be loaded-a 8x12x30 raised porch with slab and the fill beneath. There was no issue with size as the company verified the 10 cubic yard size. When the unit was delivered on site, the driver asked if the fill would be included. I indicated that it would and he suggested leaving the dumpster as close to the road as possible and that a larger truck would have to remove it and that the company had larger trucks. After four hours I asked to have the unit removed and four days later received notice that I would have to remove half of the material since the dumpster was overloaded due to VDOT requirements of 5 tons. That information was incorrect as I verified through another contractor that the limit is 10 tons. The instructions on the side of the dumpster state not to load above the top edge-exactly how it was loaded. The material, amount, size of unit, and location of unit were all verified before placing the order.It appears that the company does not have the ability to remove the smaller 10 cubic yard unit from the yard where it was placed.[redacted]Desired Settlement: Remove the dumpster and the material from my yard. If the company can not remove the unit that they placed in my yard, they can place another one there and move half of the material as they asked me to do. The material, the dimensions, the size of the dumpster, and the placement were all verified with the company before ordering.
