Mrs. [redacted], has received the parts (Electrical), which by manufacturers guidelines and terms and conditions are not refundable to either me (River City Appliance) or her. This is in the agreement she signed knowingly that they parts were non refundable. Also, we had gone to her residence...

every time she called, my service techniques refused to go back to her residence due to the verbal abuse she used toward them. The issue was corrected, however we informed her a power surge through the refrigerator could have caused more damage. She told my technicians to fix it, NOW. After going back the second time again she was demanding and rude, that is when my technician notice a power draw through the outlet and told her we could not go beyond the was, because we are not certified electricians and we are not licensed. Again, she verbally attacked my technician. Then called me and verbally attached me and proceeded to insult me and my technicians over the phone. I tried several times to send over my technicians to accommodate her. After going through the refrigerator and replacing the relay switch at no charge to her and waited for the refrigerator to cool down (normally 24 hours for proper temp). She called again and stated it wasn't cooling still. My technician went back and the compressor was kicking on after the new relay was installed (they don't normally kick on after the install, that is why we have to wait 24 hrs) and came to a conclusion that the compressor wasn't working. At that time we was informed of the cost to replace it and my technician told her it would be cheaper and more cost effective at this time to buy a good used one or a new which would be under warranty.  Our agreement she signed and clearly indicates that "she has read and fully understands" what she is signing about electrical parts not me warranted both by my company and the manufacturer. I am sorry that she is upset, but we did everything we could have both by our agreement and Idaho law. I am willing to refund $70.00 for the service call but the parts are non-refundable. I don't even have to do this, but I will offer this and nothing more. [redacted],OwnerRiver City Appliance Repair Services LLC.

There was never any verbal abuse on my part; the technician was in my presence a total of 10 minutes to give me incorrect information.  Two telephone calls were made that both lasted a matter of minutes at the most.  I signed nothing.   The clear lack of communication and customer service skills this company has is what I wanted to communicate to the public.  I do not want anything from River City Appliance in Post Falls, Idaho except to be finished with them.
Regards,

Review: I CALLED RIVER CITY APPLIANCE REPAIR ABOUT FIXING MY FRENCH DOOR STAINLESS STEAL REFRIGERATOR THAT WAS LEAKING WHEN IT FILLED THE ICE MAKER. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED THE MANAGER IF THE REPAIRMAN KNEW HOW TO WORK ON THIS TYPE OF REFRIGERATOR. I WAS ASSURED THAT HE DID, THE MANAGER STATED HE KNOWS ABOUT ALL TYPES OF REFRIGERATORS. I HAD AN APPOINTMENT ON 9-15-2014, WHICH THEY CANCELLED AND RESCHEDULED AT 9:30 ON 9-16-2013. WHEN THE REPAIRMAN CAME TO MY HOUSE, I TOLD HIM THE PROBLEM WAS THE REFRIGERATOR WAS LEAKING WHEN IT FILLED UP THE AUTOMATIC ICE DISPENSER AND I THOUGHT MAYBE SOMETHING WAS LOOSE. HE PULLED OUT THE REFRIGERATOR FROM THE WALL AND THEN PUSHED IT BACK, OPENED UP THE DOOR WHERE THE ICE MAKER WAS, SHOOK THE ICE MAKER AND TRIED TO PULL IT OUT AND WAS UNABLE TO DO SO. HE STATED HE DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO REMOVE THE ICE MAKER. HE THEN STATED THAT HE DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS KIND OF REFRIGERATOR AND THAT HE HAD NEVER WORKED ON THIS NEW OF A REFRIGERATOR BEFORE. HE THEN SHOVED THE ICE MAKER HARDER INTO THE REFRIGERATOR AND SAID YES THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. HE THEN SAID THAT WOULD BE $65.00. 30 MINUTES AFTER HE LEFT, THE REFRIGERATOR STARTED TO LEAK AGAIN, I CALLED THEIR BUSINESS. A MAN NAMED STEVE, WHO SAID HE WAS THE MANAGER, ANSWERED. I TOLD HIM THE REFRIGERATOR WAS STILL LEAKING AND HE SAID HE WOULD SEND THE TECH OUT AGAIN BUT IT WOULD BE $65.00 FOR ANOTHER SERVICE CALL. I SAID HE DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO FIX THE REFRIGERATOR AND I WANTED MY MONEY BACK, THAT'S WHEN STEVE BECAME ANGRY AND STARTED YELLING AND SAID HE DOESN'T GIVE MONEY BACK. I THEN HUNG UP. I WASN'T GOING TO PAY HIM MORE MONEY TO TEAR UP MY REFRIGERATOR.Desired Settlement: I CANCELED THE CHECK FOR $65.00 NOW HE CALLED ME AND SAID HE WAS SUING ME

To whom it may concern,

Review: We used River City Appliance to service our refrigerator that was not cooling because they were the only repair service that was available right away; I know why now. They came out the first day, replaced a part and told us it would take at least 24 hours for the refrigerator to get cool again. At 24 hours it was not cool so we called them back. The second time they came out the repair man tripped the circuit breaker dinking around with the refrigerator, did not even tell me he was finished and left. When I called to find out what he found out he said that the outlet was only putting out 8 volts and it was out of his hands and that the cord did not reach to another outlet to test his work. Okay. What? How can an outlet put out ANY volts if the breaker is tripped? The third time I called and told him the breaker is on, the refrigerator is plugged in and it STILL does not work. He said that he would come back and change the thermostat. He came back dinked around with it for 15 minutes and then told me that he FORGOT the part left to get it and NEVER came back. I called AGAIN to find out why he didn't come back and was told that it was the compressor. Ugh! These people clearly have no idea what they are doing. DO NOT USE THEM!Desired Settlement: I just want all of my money back. They can come get their parts off of my refrigerator, that is if they can figure out how to do that or where I live.

Review: Bought a [redacted] from [redacted], "as-is". However, he Said it was in good working condition. We thought the AS-IS meant the scratches and superficial damage. Paid $475.00, with a check in full. We plugged in the [redacted], the first night in our new house.It appeared to be working the first couple hours, and went to bed. The next morning everything was warm. Threw away all the food. Called [redacted] Sunday am, made apt for Mon, didn't show up till Tues. Story goes on and on. Back and forth for a week. He came and tried to fix it four times. As of this moment it still doesn't work.. We offered him $100 to give us our balance back and come get the refrigerator. He flat out refused. We nicely asked for our money back he refused.Desired Settlement: We would like our $475 refunded in CASH.

The gentleman is mistaken, or lying. I never said I wanted a new frige. And he and I were never in the same room. Despite his so called documentation, he sold us a faulty, refrigerator. Life is too full and too grand to make up lies and give someone the run around. A real business, and it's owner would stand behind their mdse, not stick someone with a lemon. I don't expect anything from [redacted]; he has shown his character in full. We will now go buy an operating [redacted] from a respected company . Not some wanna be working out of his garage.

Review: I called this business and they came to fix a washing machine with the promise that it was the pump. I signed this paper and paid for the pump (over $200) without them showing me anywhere on the contract that it was non-refundable. The pump didn't work. The tech (the son) then took out the power board and said this is what it was but I'd have to pay for it also but he was absolutely sure it had to be that. That didn't work either after I paid $130 for it. The owner showed up and they proceeded to pull both new parts off the machine, said the parts were non-refundable and now they had no idea what was wrong with the machine. The owner did promise he would "out of the goodness of his heart" refund me at least the $100. This was said several times over the next two months when I would try and contact them about either getting the parts I paid for back, plus I wanted a copy of the contract. I've seen neither. They since have changed their website to say that electrical parts are non-refundable. The back of the contract supposedly states that also although I don't have it to substantiate. These people were not up front with me about any of their business practices, "guaranteeing" that each part would work (these were the sons' words) when they did not and I was stuck with paying almost $400 for parts I don't have (and they can re-sell) and a washer that doesn't work. Not to mention the owner going back on his word to refund me at least some of the money.Desired Settlement: The owner stated he would refund me at least $100 for the parts as he would be able to re-sell them and a copy of the paper I signed.

To whom it may concern;

Review: My wife had them come out to repair our two year old washer. They quoted $400 for the repair. We opted not to have the the work done. They informed her of a used washer they had available for $150 that was only three years old. She was also told that it would go fast and another couple wanted to buy it. She bought the washer and it was delivered the next day. When I went to hook it up it was obviously much older than three years and had an odor to it. I looked up the manufacturing date and learned it was over 13 years old. When I asked for a refund I was rudely told that they would be a $50 restocking fee. I tried to reason with the owner as he lied to my wife. He told me I was luckly that he would take it back at all and that he was concerned he would "get stuck with it" and "this is business".Desired Settlement: Refund the $50 restocking charge
