[redacted] that informed him that the codes used had expired  At the time [redacted] nurse called [redacted] and spoke with [redacted] who stated that the codes were valid.  Nurse then called and informed the patient that the codes were in fact correct and he verbalized understanding.  The patient chose to have labs done on December 12, 2017 the labs ha out of normal range results.  As your healthcare provided we are acting in the patients best interest to order follow up lab test when the initial test show abnormal results.  We advised to have follow up labs and obliviously the decision to do the labs and inept the charge is ultimately the patients.  He had his repeat labs done on December 15, 2017.  The patient has called both the billing office and the front office concerning this issue several ties due to not wanting to pay the bill he received that was part of this deductible.  On February 23, 2017 patient called the office and informed the front office manager that it is the offices fault and we will take care of the charge.  The front office manager explained to the patient that he would need to contact the insurance because per [redacted] everything was coded correctly by the office.  Patient got very upset and was beyond reasoning with so at the time the office manager informed him that if he did not calm down the call would be ended.  The patient continued to be very rude so at that time the office manager ended the call.  The charge for 102.94 was part of patients deductible in which [redacted] has written off as a courtesy to the patient however the bill from [redacted] is beyond our control.Regards,River Valley Medicine and Pediatrics

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complain[redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
First of all, I called to make appointment for an annual checkup. The welling screening is so simple a form and the content of the form is 100% covered under annual check-up. Don't try to confuse this form with the annual check up.Secondly, I chose to have labs done because your nurse told me those tests will be covered 100% by insurance.  Abnormal results ? You mean Vitamin D?  That's covered 100% by insurance. Excuse me, where did I do the repeated labs on Dec 15?? Thirdly, I called before the so-called first lab work and after I came back from your office Dec 7. Never called you since then till Feb 23. I did call my insurance company once. Don't try to mix up. The only time I called turns out terrible. Who was so rude to hang up the phone? You requested me to call [redacted], I did already before I called your office. I specifically told you guys I only wanted an annual check-up. Why would you add extra work? Since your nurse confirmed with [redacted], why should you to call them to correct the mistakes if there are any? You made mistakes, patients take the consequences. That's what you do. You don't care your patients at all. That's why people, like me, got upset in the first place. Yet, your office won't listen, won't care of course. Just hang up. Unbelievable! You will be reviewed, that's the least I can do to help other patients.
