Review: My complaint is pertaining to the refund of my Security Deposit. The concern has now gone on for about 45 days. Initially Vertus Properties, Inc., sent a portion of my security deposit without providing an invoice or itemized list of the reasons for with holding the deductions. My length of tenancy was 3 1/2 years and I was never late on my rental payment due each month. I reached out to [redacted] and was referred to Vertus Properties. I requested an itemized list including charges that was brought against my deposit for normal wear and tear. In additional to repairs charges a 8 hours Labor charges was assessed against my deposit for repaired items. During my walk thru with the Apartment Manager at [redacted] the Manager checked each box and marked "ok" and no repairs were mentioned at the "Final Walk Thru". (Civil Code Section 1950.5(c). The Property Manager never brought up any repairs or additional cleaning needs. I completed the walk through with the Property Manager together and no concerns were brought to my attention. At this juncture the company has sent me an email advising that all monies would be returned. An amount of $195.00 of my deposit would be returned. I have been in communication via email with [redacted] of Vertus Properties which she states that on June 2, 2014 she put a check in the mail in the amount of $195.00. No check to date has been received me. At this time my recourse with [redacted] and Vertus Properties have prompt me to file a complaint with the Revdex.com for further action in response to my request for a "Full Rental Refund" of my Security Deposit. I look forward to a response in this matter.Desired Settlement: I would like the remainder of my Rental Deposit in the amount of $195.00 from [redacted]. Mailed to [redacted].

I am writing in response to the attached complaint that has been filed, complain ID: [redacted]. I am not sure why Ms. [redacted] filed this, as we have already mailed out her check of $195 as agreed upon. I did mail it out from [redacted], CA to [redacted], AL. I’m not sure how long it typically takes the mail to go from CA to AL, but I do know that its not overnight.
