Review: I was miss lead by Riverdale Chrysler jeep, sale associate and financial [redacted]. I purchase my car in January 2012 it was a 2011 Chrysler 300. I was told I will receive the car at a lower selling price and I will receive discounts and rebates. I was told not to drive car more than 10,000 miles for the year come back and we will lower monthly payments and get you in a better car. I have went back to [redacted] person and [redacted] they have not applied discounts or rebates they can not find my paperwork. Chrysler corp said I was over charged 8000.00 dollars on this car to speak to dealer. The dealership has me going back and fourth to the store losing time of work. They also told me that the trade in value for my Chrysler 300 c was 10222.35 and even pay off. I don't see where I got credit for the car I traded in and they can not find paperwork on the trade. The dealership can not find my paperwork or honor what was sold to me a consumer who is hard working and has great credit. The dealership offered me 17,000. for the car they sold me and I now owe 35,000. That was not what we agreed on.

I made a complaint # [redacted] with Chrysler corp my case [redacted]s name is [redacted] who also said they should have given my discounts and rebates that the car was valued in 2012 at 35000. and yes we should have gotten rebates, [redacted] called the [redacted] and told me [redacted] said come to dealership they have my paperwork. After weeks of calling and coming in we spoke to [redacted] for like 5 minutes and he explained to me that he doesn't know anything he never spoke to [redacted] at corp and he doesn't have my paperwork. I called [redacted] for several days no answer spoke to [redacted] a [redacted] at Chrysler was given different information. I spoke to a [redacted] at Chrysler dealership who said was not helpful. I have went back and fourth for two years and no one has any of my paperwork and can not tell me why my discount and rebate were not applied. I was taken advantage of and I am tired of going to dealership being ignored and mistreated they have no information why this is on going for so long, not getting my discount and proper pay off on my trade in car.Desired Settlement: I would like my verbal agreement to be honored. I want my discounts and rebates applied this should be more than 8,000. as promised this should be removed off my loan. I want the value of my trade in difference of 5,722. adjusted from the amount due on my car. The dealership can take there car back covering 15,000. I have in equity cause by the dealership being deceitful. I want them to understand there lies have cost me an extra 15,000 on my loan and I want it honored.

Review: My complaint begins on Saturday, 8/*/14, when I test drove a 2013 Mazda 3 at the Riverdale Chrysler Jeep Dealership and left the requested $500 deposit with the sales person to be held until Monday 8/**/14 when I would return to complete the transaction. I was then directed and waited 20 minutes for the [redacted], who asked "how I wanted to finance." When advised that it would likely be a cash transaction, he said "then there was no need for a discussion." I left the dealership with the understanding I would return on Monday, 8/**/14.

Monday, 8/**/14 @ 9:00 a.m. I received a telephone call from the sales person advising me that the car had been sold to another customer. After a lame explanation for this unscrupulous act I asked to speak with the [redacted]) and the [redacted]) both of whom were arrogant and indifferent to my situation adding that the $500 deposit did not guarantee a hold until Monday as was agreed. In fact, the deposit was left on Saturday afternoon and the car was sold to another customer that same afternoon. This customer service is deplorable and should be addressed. I was asked to leave the $500 deposit--- and for what? A deposit is "a sum payable as a first installment on the purchase of something or as a pledge for a contract, the balance being payable later." This is a matter that should be shared so future patrons of this establishment are prepared for such unscrupulous dealings.Desired Settlement: To have left the dealership on Monday the [redacted] of the Mazda 3 for which I left the $500 deposit.

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Riverdale Chrysler Plymouth Jeep Eagle regarding complaint ID [redacted]. The only communication from the Riverdale Chrysler Plymouth Jeep Dealership was when they called and advised me they sold the car to another customer (on the same day they took my deposit). The issue with the $500 credit card deposit has been resolved by my contacting Citibank Master Card and their crediting my account in full.

Sincerely,

Review: I was agreed upon purchasing the veh by seller that I would have lifetime warranty on transmission and motor I went to the dealer nov * 2014 to check the veh transmission which seem to have a issue again and was told it wasn't covered anymore cause I miss a 5 year inspection in April I was never notified in any way I receive mail and calls from the company and dealer for sells and discounts . I had went to the dealer in November 2013 under the warranty for the same issue and was never told of a inspection or anything ..Desired Settlement: This is not fair to the hard working consumer to be tricked out of or con from a agreement that was made. Something of this importants should of been made aware of . I have the same phone numbers and email and home address I receive everything else they mail or call for . I just want what I was promised. my life time warranty and my repairs done.

Review: ALWAYS CHECK THE # OF THE TITLE WITH THE VIN ON THE CAR. Purchased a new jeep last May 2012 From this location. A few months ago I was looking the TITLE over, and I see that a number is off towards the end of the VIN. I take pictures of the VIN plate on the car and copies of the title, and send it to the manager of the dealership. He tells me to bring in the title and that he will send it back to the DMV to get fixed. I bring in the Title and get him to sign a paper for me that I am handing the title over to him for him to fix and then issue me a valid one with a correct VIN. After about a month, I still dont know what is going on. When I call in to speak with the manager, I am put on hold for many minutes, I call back, and I get excuses. On October **'th I called in to get an update from the manager, why is it taking more than 1 month to get my hands on a valid title for my new car, He yells at me, that I am calling too much, and accuses me of taking the time of his staff, and that if I keep bothering him, he will just give me the title back, the one with the wrong VIN number on it that isn't worth anything! I AM TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING, BUT IT SEEMS THAT THERE IS SOMETHING STRANGE GOING ON HERE, WHY DOES IT TAKE MORE THAN 1 MONTH TO EVEN GET AN UPDATE AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE ISSUING OF A NEW TITLE. I AM STILL WAITING, PATIENTLY. Riverdale Chrysler Jeep [redacted] Contact Dealer at: ###-###-#### MANAGER: [redacted] SALES AGENT: [redacted] FINANCE: [redacted]Desired Settlement: I have waited over a month since handing in my fraudulent title to this dealership manager '[redacted]', and I have no idea what is going on, and/or how much longer I have to wait to get a correct title. I am considering suing them in supreme court for selling an incorrect title, and not being able to make changes in due time when given the chance.

Business

Response:

To whom it may concern,

I gave Mr. [redacted] a letter stating that I had his title in the possession of the dealership. We have sent the title to the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles to have the corrections made. The title is not fraudulent, it was a clerical error.

Since Mr. [redacted] left his title with my to have it corrected, I have received no less that 15 harassing phone calls and emails from him. I assured him numerous times that the title issue was being resolved and would be returned to him once we got it in our possession. Instead of taking my word for it, he proceeded to continue calling the dealership on a daily basis for days on end. At one point, he called 3 times in a 5 minute span.

As a reputable business, I will have his title corrected and returned to him as soon as DMV returns it to me. If you have and questions, please

feel free to contact me directly at ###-###-#### or via email at [redacted]

Consumer

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Please consider this issue fully resolved. [redacted] just told me to wait another week or 2,

and gave me an update as to what is going on.

I found out from the dmv that this issue happens every now and then, humans are not perfect with large numbers all the time.

And in this case they believe that the correct papers where sent from the dealership to the dmv, but one of the dmv offices made the error,

and it was not the dealership.

I do not agree on how I was dealt with when I tried to call for a follow up to an email a month ago and got put on hold indefinitely every time I called, that was the whole reason

I made this complaint.

Thank you for your time and effort in helping us out.

Review: I went to refinance my vehicle. I was told that I owed 18,644.90 to [redacted] Contact Number ###-###-#### [redacted]. The balance due was settled by [redacted] Contact Number ###-###-#### [redacted]. I was charged $20,676.90 an increase of $2,032.00 from the original balance of $18,644.90. I was informed by [redacted] that my balance on my vehicle is now $23,432.54. I did purchase a Extended Warranty for the amount of $2,462.21. I wished to know why I was charged the extra $2,032.00. I did call [redacted] and I was informed to bring it to the attention of Riverdale Chrysler Dealership. I spoke to [redacted] and spoke to the Manager and I was told that everything was being taken care of and not to worry, but the issue of the $2,032.00 increase in the balance has not been explained nor resolved. I feel that I was missed informed and taken advantage of.Desired Settlement: To properly informed its customers in regards to refinancing vehicles. I would like to be refunded the $2,032.00.

Review: I brought my 2012 Jeep into Riverdale's dealership because I had a foot of water in my car leaking in through the driver's side fabric. When I arrived at the dealership, they charged me $163 right off the bat just to take a look at the vehicle. The next day the service advisor called and said "You have water in your car. It's coming in because the drains are clogged." He said "It's environmental. Don't park your car near a tree or in the rain." When I picked up the car, the floors we wet (they stayed wet for days after) there was a musty smell, black fingerprints all over the white interior fabric, and blue stains where the water leak was occurring. They charged $163 to tell me something I already knew and damaged my car. I called on every lunch break I had that month and the [redacted] was always "in a meeting". I called Chrysler customer care who kept me on the phone for hours each time to tell me it is a manufacturing defect and never arrived at a resolution. They do not refund diagnostic fees which was my only request and they could do nothing for me despite agreeing with my argument that the service department's diagnosis and advice is absurd. Customer care agreed that it is a manufacturing defect which in my opinion should be handled the way they would a recall - for free. After 6 attempts with customer care, multiple emails and phone calls to the dealership, I am at a loss. I'm left with a car I JUST paid off last month and also just happens to be out of warranty. This is the second Jeep I have purchased from this dealership and had the same issue with my first. I traded in a Wrangler with leak and flooding issues which the salesman at that dealership told me is a consistent and common problem. He assured me and suggested I purchase a Liberty to avoid that issue. They scammed me, are hiding at the dealership and customer care says on the phone they cannot help me at all. How can it be that a Jeep cannot withstand rain or leaves? Customer care won't help?! Absurd!Desired Settlement: A refund of the diagnostic fee and/OR a free warranty on this vehicle considering it is a common and consistent problem with Jeeps!

Review: I am a life long Bronx Resident. I am having a major problem with Riverdale Chrysler Jeep and did not know where to turn for help.So I thought I would contact you.In January I was in a near fatal accident. I was hospitalized for several weeks and a month or more in Rehab. My car was totaled. I was laid up for weeks after, but did need to purchase a car as my son needed one for work, and I also needed transportation to and from doctors appt.On March [redacted] I went to Riverdale Chrysler Jeep as they were having an event. I dont have the best credit, but their advertisements stated that, bad credit was not a problem. So on that date I purchased a 2010 Jeep Patriot. I also purchased a service contractBeginning on April [redacted], I started trying to contact the dealership as there were several problems with the vehicle that needed to be addressed. I sent several emails to my sales representative as well as the general manager. I never received a response nor did I receive a notice that my emails were returned undelivered. I also left numerous phone messages which were never returned. And every time I called I got an answering machine, never a real personTO get to the point I finally got someone in the service department a couple of weeks ago and scheduled a service appointment. At this time, the brakes were so bad, that it was dangerous to drive the car. There were numerous other problems that I itemized for them.Today, they informed me that both front and rear breaks needed replacement, the idle needed to be replaced and another part, which was not covered under the initial warranty, needed replacement and would cost me 645.00!I was dumbfounded. When I purchased the car, they assured me that they did a 30+ point check, which should have covered the brakes and the other parts in need of repair. So how these things could go so wrong, in less than 2 months was beyond me.I finally spoke with my sales rep who said he was having problems with his email, as he had beenDesired Settlement: When I purchased the car they told me that if I needed service I would be entitled to two days of a rental car. They reneged on this agreement. They claim the initial 60 day warranty does not cover the part that they want to charge me 645 dollars for. My warranty will cover it, but there is a 250.00 deductible.I feel that I should not be responsible for any payment and all necessary repairs should be covered as they assured me that everything was in perfect working order when I purchased it

Review: I purchased a used car from the dealership and while under warranty it needed work. The manager Joe offered a rental car with a refund when my car was ready. I have attempted multiple times to contact Joe and the general manager Bobby A[redacted] and have't gotten a response from neither. The car I purchased was returned to me on 8/*/15 and I have yet to receive a refund for the rental car in the amount of $852.00. Now I have incurred interest on that amount as well and it is affecting my credit. I have a copy of the receipts and they have the dealership's name on them. I would like my refund as soon as possible I have been patient enough.Desired Settlement: I would like my refund in full for the car rental and for the interest I have incurred due to the matter that they didn't give me the refund in time to pay my credit card.

Review: for over a year, the TMS (Tire Monitoring System) on my newly purchased 2104 Jeep Sahara has been indicating a problem. I attempted to get it serviced at the [redacted] later to fin out that they broke a specif piece that was replace by Manhattan Dealership and they also attempted to fix the TMS problem but wasn't successful in doing so. They recommended that I take it back to the original purchase place to get fixed. I made several phones and personal visit to attempt to fix this matter and only to get avoided in all manners including part [redacted].Desired Settlement: I am seeking for the TMS to be fully operational as I purchased when I obtained my NEW Jeep., this is to include the purchased of NEW tires and rims for the vehicle (this purchase was also done at [redacted]).

Review: I purchased my 2011 mazda cx7 from riverdale jeep dealer march 2013. the sales person was [redacted]. the Finance Manager Name was [redacted]. I have previously filed a complaint with Revdex.com regarding them not providing me with a key. I closed the case because the manager agreeed to reimburse the money for the key. At that time I was also dealing with a billing issue. During my transaction with riverdale there was a warranty that was added to my financing of $2000.00 which I was unaware of until I carefully read over documentation. I have gone to riverdale as well as called so many tijmes that I cant count to remove this warranty and refund the 2000.00 back to [redacted]. I hav contacted th warranty "[redacted]" and they advised it was canceled 6/**/2013 and dealer responsible for refunding to [redacted]. I reached out again to [redacted] and spok to finance mngr [redacted] several times and amount 2000.00 hav yet to be refunded. I hav been patient for 5 months.Desired Settlement: I am requesting that riverdale refund the $2000.00 back to [redacted] so that [redacted] on can remove from my balance immediately. I am also requesting that riverdale issue me a check for the amount of $350.00 for a 2nd key which they failed to provide as promised when I purchased the vehicle. I do not trust purchasing the key first and waiting for them to reimburse me.

Review: I purchases a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country in Nov 2014 at Riverdale Chrysler Jeep. From then I Have had constant problems with the car not starting on several occasions. I had to have it towed on 2 occasions. They cannot find what's wrong with the vehicle and it continues to not start on occasions. On 6/*/2015 I had it towed to Chrysler on central ave and I was close to it at 8 pm at night. When they looked at it next morning it started. They had my van 5 days and they couldn't find the problem. It happened again 6/**/2015 , 06/**/15 I was near white plains Chrysler and it started for them and unless it not starting they cant find the problem. On 6/**, 2015 It would start after 10-15 mins so I'd have to wait.June 30 new starter put in. I had no van until july [redacted] ..still not corrected the problem . IT happened again in July It was towed to Riverdale Chrysler it wouldn't start for 2 days got it towed..They said the found lose wire that the problem, they put in fuse box, did something with the main board.. It is still not starting on occasions.I have contacted Chrysler Corporate offices directly and have a case number. to date no recourse. There has been recalls on main board in the 2011 vehicles .Every few days my car won't start for 5 mins then I wait and it starts. Recently Fiat Chrysler has been fined the largest fine levied against any auto manufacturer for 106 million dollars for handling their auto problems in this manner. After having dozens of conversations with the sales manager I still am paying for a car that does not work and no one wants to help me. You can imagine my frustration everytime I go to the Van I have to worry if it will start. Please Help!Desired Settlement: I want a new Van. To treat me in the manner I have been treated by Riverdale Chrysler and Chrysler Corporation is horrific. I am frustrated that a company can sell a Van that does not work and is unwilling to help me solve the problem. I have been more than patient with them. The constant calls to the dealership and getting nowhere.

Review: I purchased a certified pre-owned jeep compass through the dealership on April [redacted] 2012. They sold me a Fidelity extended warranty. I never received the contract or account number. I contacted the finance manager numerous times and he said, each time, he would resend the information. I never received either. After about 10 months, I did some investigating. I found out that the Fidelity warranty I was sold, provided the same warranty that I had through Chrysler/jeep for purchasing a certified pre-owned vehicle. On March *, 2013, I contacted [redacted], the finance manager to cancel my contract. I followed up 3 times, and each time, he advised that he would cancel the contract. It was never cancelled. I contacted the sales rep, [redacted], who sold me the vehicle. He was able to get [redacted] to cancel the contract. Once [redacted] advised that the contract was cancelled, on April [redacted] 2013, I contacted Fidelity. They advised that the contract was cancelled at 81%, which came with a refund of about $1800. I spoke to [redacted] and he confirmed that they had the money and would be sending it to my finance company. He advised that I should see they payment within the next 2 weeks. To date, they have not sent the money to my finance company. I have contacted the dealership, finance manager and Chrysler/jeep customer care and have not received a resolution. The dealership has been illegally withholding my money, which amounts to about $1800 now plus interest, since April, and I would like the refund sent to my finance company immediately.Desired Settlement: Payment send to finance company

Review: On March [redacted] of the year 2014, I traveled to the Riverdale Chrysler Jeep dealership in the Bronx and happily traded in my reliable 2010 Hyundai Elantra for a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. This had been my dream car for quite some time. The way the car hugged the road. It's look. How I felt in it. That all went out the window the second I drove off the lot. I have had this car for a little less than a month and every week since I have had this vehicle, it has spent more time in the shop than on the road. By my own mistake, I knowingly purchased the car with a failed inspection. I was told by the sales person that sold me the car that it only failed because of the brakes. I was also told by the [redacted] that dealerships are allowed to sell cars with a failed inspection because NYC state law mandates that the problem be rectified within 30 days. Sounded a little fishy to me, however I went along with it. The dealership did fix my brakes and rotors, but sadly that was the least of my worries. Two days later the engine light came on. So I returned the vehicle for service. They said it was a sensor and a day later the car was returned to me "good as new". Two days later the engine light comes on again. Highly aggravated, I returned the car once more. The service people apologized and said that it was another sensor issue that they had overlooked. The next day the car was returned to me. Two days later the engine light comes on yet again only this time it's paired with another surprise. Along with a blinking engine light, the car was now sporting a code on the dashboard that was saying "Transmission Over Temp".

Now I am highly [redacted]. I call the dealership to see if I can return the car and was directed to the [redacted] who said that he would try to help me. It has been two weeks and the the GM has not been notified of my issues and I keep getting the run around. At this point I know I've been sold a lemon. I had to [redacted] and moan just so they could do the right thing and place me in a rental. Waited an hour for it too because somehow the rental company "forgot" about me. Or perhaps they forgot to tell them that someone was waiting to be picked up. So for the past two and a half weeks I have been trying to return this car so that I can get a new one and I have received no definitive answers. Every car that I see on the website that that I would like to trade this car in for is either "sold" or "has a deposit on it". At this rate I'm going to be making payments on a car that that doesn't run and hasn't been running for the past two and a half weeks. This is madness! I have been stranded because the car shuts off and will not start. Now I have no car to get to work. The people at Riverdale Chrysler Jeep have not been helpful in trying to rectify my issues. I still have no working vehicle. I've been met with unwarranted sarcasm, nasty attitudes and inexperienced personnel. And to my knowledge, I am not the only one who has dealt with this.

I am slowly approaching the end of my warranty period and I feel like they are not taking the necessary steps to quickly resolve my issues. I find it extremely irresponsible that the GM has not been notified of this situation after two weeks. I am soon to begin making payments on a vehicle that I cannot drive and this is unacceptable!Desired Settlement: My desired outcome from this situation is to be placed in a new vehicle to my liking and within the parameters of my budget or to have Riverdale Chrysler Jeep apply an inconvenience fee (my down payment of $200 plus a monetary reimbursement of $200 for wages lost due to lateness because of my faulty vehicle and for the fact that I have had to take off from work to come to the dealership on the day the [redacted] told me he would have more answers for me only to find out that nothing had been done) towards my account so that I can be placed in a vehicle of my liking from either Riverdale Chrysler Jeep or their sister location, Eastchester Chrysler Jeep.
