Riverset Apartments

Did not give proper notice when paving parking lot, permitted a 20 plus person loud party, very rude, did not notify of roof construction.On the evening February 12th, 2016, my husband and I were at home in our apt. at Riverset. We both noticed loud and blaring music coming from the neighboring apartment, both indoors and outdoors. I counted at least 20 individuals walking around. The majority were consuming beverages from beer cans and stumbling around and conversing and yelling loudly. My husband and I could not figure out who was the renter of this apartment. My husband called Riverset security and there was no answer, so he left a message. Throughout a couple of hours, he and I both called and left multiple messages for security. He finally spoke with someone and complained of noise and general disturbance. The person on the phone stated he would send someone to check the situation. When this individual arrived, it was clear he understood very little English. My husband explained the disturbance to him. This individual walked around aimlessly for a couple of minutes before leaving. My husband called the security company back and complained that the noise was getting out of control and asked if they would send someone. The man on the phone was extremely rude and said that there was no disturbance. My husband then stated he would be calling the Memphis police, to which he did. An officer showed up and spoke to myself and my husband and then proceeded to talk to some male individuals next door. After the policeman left, many individuals left. There were several individuals that screamed obscenities next to my door, as they were leaving. Riverset should have assisted in this issue but turned a blind eye. The next day, my husband went to the Riverset office and explained the situation to an employee and showed her the video. She then asked my husband if he was sure he lived at Riverset and that she would look into it. We never heard anything back in regards to this. In a separate issue, we were not notified of the parking lot being paved over the duration of 3 weeks, beginning in late March.Also, my husband and I were not notified in advance of extremely loud roofing construction, taking place in April in the apartment building which we reside.Desired SettlementA better security agency and rules in regards to parties and noise levels to be enforced. Also proper notice when performing loud roof construction and proper and timely notification when paving the parking lot without towing threats.

Many issues with Riverset:1. Entered in my apartment without notice/consent. I left for the weekend and turned all my lights and the air conditioning off. When I returned, two lights were on and the air conditioning was back on. No one else has access to my apartment. Nothing was stolen. When I called Riverset, they denied anyone having been in there but this is impossible. 2. Turning water off without notice. Whenever I call to inquire why the water is turned off, someone tells me it was an emergency without explaining what type. Further, we are not refunded for water lost/compensated for hardship without water. Sometimes it's for two hours, sometimes it's for two days. 3. Took over a week to get my air conditioning replaced in the summer. It wasn't because they were waiting on a part, the people at the front desk kept telling me that the maintenance guy "forgot" to get to my apartment.Desired SettlementWe want a $5 refund reflected on the bill for each hour we are without water for the inconvenience of not having water. Furthermore, I want a $100 rebate for entering my apartment without notice, consent, and then denying that they entered.
