To Whom It May Concern,This letter is in response to the complaint filed with the Revdex.com by *** *** regarding Riverside Animal HospitalWe strongly disagree with Mrs *** perception of the events that occurred on 09/02/during her visit to our hospitalMrs *** called our office requesting
that her cat *** receive an antibiotic injection for what she believed to be a urinary tract infectionOur receptionist explained to her that her cat would need to be examined by the Doctor because we had not seen the cat for three yearsFlorida state law mandates that we need to have examined the pet in the last year to prescribe medicationThis is standard practice just as it is in human medicineOne can't expect to call their physicians office after not being seen for three years and get antibiotics prescribed to them.We explained this to Mrs*** on the phone after she became very rude with our receptionist,she ultimately brought *** in for an exam.The chief complaint was a possible urinary tract infection.Doctor *** explained that we would need to run a urinalysis to determine if this was the caseThis is a necessary test to determine which type of antibiotic will need to be prescribedThe other "test" that Mrs*** spoke of in her complaint, the cystocentisis, is not a test at all, it is actually the procedure used to obtain a clean urine sample to perform the urinalysisShe also stated that the attending technician said that the cystocentisis came back negativeNot one of our technicians would say this because they are all aware that a cystocentisis is not a testAt no time was Mrs*** bullied by our staffDoctor *** performed the most cost effective treatment plan possible so that the cat could be treated successfullyAs Mrs*** also stated, her sister in law put money on her account for her cat to be treated so I am confused as to why she expects a cash refund of any kinRiverside Animal Hospital has proudly given away over $250,of veterinary services in the past thirty yearsWe pride ourselves on providing the best possible care to our patients as well as the best customer service to our clientsWe regret that Mrs*** does not feel that way as well.Respectfully,*** ***Office ManagerThank you,RAH
