Complaint Did not buy back my vehicle.I made an agreement with a subaru sales rep when buying a vehicle with them that subaru would buy back my Mitsubishi lease. I received fees from Mitsubishi because Subaru returned my vehicle instead and I accrued excessive mileage fees. If Subaru had done what we agreed then I would not be receiving these fees. It took two months to get this paperwork and receive my license tags only to find out the car wasn't bought back and then I received property tax paperwork I was not aware of as well and was not told at sale. I'm being charged $985+ Mitsubishi. I have email conformation stating this agreement.Desired SettlementPay Mitsubishi feesBusiness Response /[redacted]/We have tried to contact [redacted] regarding this situation. We will try to work out a solution for her.Consumer Response /[redacted]/ The problem has not been solved. The business has not tried to contact me whatsoever.Final Business Response /[redacted]/We have had a difficult time reaching the customer. We were able to contact her finally and have agreed to reimburse her for the fees Mitsubishi Motors charged her for excess mileage.Final Consumer Response /[redacted]/I have received the check for the amount requested and it has gone through. Thank you for helping. The claim can be closed. I would like to thank you at Revdex.com, if you hadn't helped me I wouldn't have been so lucky trying to get through to them.[redacted]

Bought a used car, a week later, popping in my steering, crunching in front, dealership will not fix it unless we paid $700+I recently bought a used car January 11, 2014 from this dealership, understanding that used cars will eventually have problems. However, ONE week off of the lot, I hear a popping noise in my steering every time I turn and a crunching noise on every turn I make going at a slow speed. I contacted the employee via email, who sold me the car, making him aware of the problem. He suggested I bring it in and they would look at it. When I was able to bring the car in, service dept looked at it and told me it was strut bearings, they would fix it for $700+, parts and labor. I was not willing to fork out $700+ after JUST purchasing a car from them! After going back and forth they offered to pay for parts, $200, we pay for labor. Still did not think that was right. My husband spoke with managers from both sides, parts and service. Both were unapologetic and could careless, because its a USED car. We asked them why they didn't catch this on their point inspection, we were told that "if they did catch it, and fixed the problem, the car would have been put on the lot for a higher price." My husband was able to get the parts from them free of charge and put them in himself, he is NOT a mechanic! After replacing the parts and taking it to a local shop for an alignment AND replacement of a tie rod, $200, the problem is not fixed! I was hoping to buy a car to feel safe in, be able to take it on long trips and enjoy the fact that I have a great car. When we were looking to purchase a car from Riverside, they were all about contacting us and keeping in touch. When the problem occurred with my car, we hardly heard from them! Very disappointed and I hope no one else has to deal with this! That car should have been thoroughly inspected before put up for sale. Completely ripped off. I wish I could return this car!!!Desired SettlementFix the actual problem with my car, they supposedly said it was the strut bearings however the problem is not fixed.Business Response /[redacted]/It is always unfortunate when a customer of ours becomes dissatisfied in connection with their purchase of a vehicle. We also know that buying any vehicle is a large commitment and that customers feel discouraged when repairs are necessary. It would be wonderful if every vehicle we sold were new or nearly new, so that customers could rely on manufacturers warranties to cover the majority of unexpected repairs. If these were the only selections we made available to our customers, however, we would exclude a large segment of the buying population; since older, higher-mileage vehicles are much more affordable. These more economical vehicles offer value along with a certain amount of assumed risk by the buyer, because they are sold with "limited powertrain warranties" or completely "As-Is" in accordance with the laws of the great State of North Carolina. With regards to this complaint, this vehicle was sold to the buyer with a 3 month / 3,000 mile "limited powertrain warranty" which covers the internally lubricated components or the engine, transmission and/or differentials of the vehicle. When this customer returned to the dealership with a complaint of "noise in the front end", our service department found no defective components. In an effort to satisfy the customer, our service manager researched technical service bulletins published to address similar customer concerns with the particular vehicle make/model. Said bulletins stated that Nissan Motors suggested replacement of the front strut bearings to remedy customer complaints of noises in the front suspension, which are nuisance items and not a safety issue. Nissan Motors does not have an open recall for said bearing replacement. After explaining this and the associated cost to correct the issue, Mr. [redacted] asked to speak with the sales manager of our dealership. The sales manager agreed to satisfy Mr. [redacted]'s request to provide the parts, and that Mr. [redacted] would handle the labor. Mr. [redacted] elected to perform the work himself, instead of paying a certified technician to perform the repairs. Although we had no obligation to participate in any way with these repairs, our managers are empowered to assist customers in the first month of ownership to promote goodwill, thereby strenghening customer opinion of our dealership. Unfortunately, some customers feel entitled to more than we feel compelled to give. In this particular case, we are astounded that a complaint still exists, since we actually met the customer's original request for assistance (obviously he felt that this was fair and equitable at the time of such request). I appreciate the opportunity to provide explanation from our perspective for this complaint. Sincerely,[redacted]General ManagerRiverside Automotive Consumer Response /[redacted]/Update on my nissan senta: brought my car in to a nissan dealership, I was hearing a whining noise when accelerating. Turns out the CVT (transmission) went out. Had to leave my car at nissan for a week! 3 months of having my car.Not only did my transmission go out, the original problem with this car and dealership was the crunching noise in the front end, that they never fixed. Took it to nissan, less than an hour they were able to diagnosis the problem as the struts. This dealership, Riverside, told me it was the strut bearings. After those were replaced, not by them, the problem was not fixed! still extremely unhappy with this dealership, will be letting people know my experience here!

Sales Manager IntergrityOn July 3 2015 My wife and I test drove a 08 Acura TL. Staff involved in this situation are Mr B (Sales Mgr) Mr E (salesman) and Mr D. (Service Mgr). On the test drive there were one main discrepancy that were mention and that being the message that said:(to tighten fuel cap). Even though the saleman tighten the cap after the test drive it just happen to go off. After adjusting our schedule to come in on 7/6/15 vice wed. We got two phone calls from the salesman and the sales mgr asking when we would be in. We were led to believe that everything was ready when we came in. Detailed and the issues mentioned. We understand that the vehicle was a AS-IS. The main problem is that this issue was noted before the purchase of the vehicle and they prolong and put off doing anything to the vehicle. The Sales Mgr verbally said that they would look at any problem that may come up in 14 days after delivery. So when driving home the tighten cap message randonly pops up. A email was sent pertaining to the problem . So no one contacted us back and we had to initiate the followup. After the run around and finally talking to the Service Mgr we were told that since the EVAP valve was not part of the internal parts of the engine or transmission that it would not be covered or addressed. Now since blame has been directed to the salesman because he was only doing what he was told to do. Then the management are really the main persons at fault for putting off addressing the issue of the vehicle. Every effort was made to get us in there for the sale and get us out and not look at the problem with the car. Needless to say customer service on the deal was not good by any means. We feel like anything was said to avoid the repair just and oh well we got good bye. The only thing that we asked for is just good honest service and not to be jerked around by management.Desired SettlementAfter looking into the issue with car. We have given the sales mgr all the needed information in the email to repair the car in which the Service Mgr did read. All we want is for the repair of the EVAP Canister Purge Valve to be repaired. Thats all we really want.Business Response /[redacted]/Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Sales Mgr.Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXXContact Email: [redacted]@gmail.comContacted Mr. [redacted] to resolve the issue. Offered to purchase the part in question despite the vehicle having been sold "As-Is". Mr. [redacted] is pleased with this arrangement. Consumer Response /[redacted]/After speaking to the Sales Manager and Service Manager it was agreed that they were going to purchase the part and send it to me. Once the part is received this would resolve this situation. Final Consumer Response /[redacted]/

I now have 2 balled tires due to a mistake on their part and they are refusing to pay for 2 new tires. Lift kit was not put on properly and therefor caused 2 balled tires. After they had looked at it and okayed it even after I brought it back because it was clicking when I turned the wheelDesired SettlementReimbursement of 2 new tires Business Response /[redacted]/This matter was taken care of march 19th.Customer has accepted payment and satisfied with arrangement made 3/19 and we have fulfilled our agreement and no further action is required of us right now.
