Vehicle was handed over to me on Wednesday June 8 by Riverside Ford & they then engaged in deceptive business practices by trying to renig on the dealRiverside Ford finance person & my salesperson both called & left cryptic & vague messages that they needed me to come back in to sign other paperwork. I asked if they could just handle issue over phone but they insisted I had to come in on a day that I was going out of town & was extremely busy. When I went in, I found it was something as stupid as needing to clarify an income issue that could've been done over phone as I had prev requested. I clarified the issue & told them to call me to let me know what lender said - another cryptic message with no information at all, just more deception. Then, the finance or sales manager & sales person came to my home in Monday morning to tell me they needed the keys to the car back. I went to get my things out of car & then decided to call an attorney who said that since I had the sales contract, that I didn't have to give them the keys back if I didn't want to - they were the ones in the wrong here. If there was an issue with financing, they should have not let me take the vehicle until it was settled & they did. I went & told them & then they actually became obnoxious & said they were going to tow the car. I went to move the car into my garage & the sales manager actually jumped into my backseat without my permission - I told him to get out of the car & off my property at this time - the behavior was ludicrous. They have been nothing but deceptive, dishonest & engaged in some of the most disgusting business practices I have ever witnessed. I honestly don't ever want to do business with them again & will return their stupid car once I find a replacement vehicle since they have no concept how to conduct business in a professional manner.Desired SettlementI am between the exchange for a different vehicle, finish the job & then NO FURTHER contact by this business. As I said the way they have handled this entire matter has been nothing short of abhorrent

Insulting and deceptive sales practices as I was there as a customer who felt extreme pressure from their tactics.On 12 Feb 2015 I went to the dealership to look at [redacted] vehicle ID [redacted] My salesman was[redacted] at the time and he was pretty good for a young man. I was given a test drive of the vehicle that I did like and went to sit down at his desk to do a little paperwork. As it came to personal information and financing, I was not interested in giving that information as I explained that I would be back because I wanted to get approval from my bank and did not want to go through the dealership. They sent a gentleman on their behalf to speak to me about what a decent monthly price for a car but needed my social security number to run a credit check. I explained I was going to go through my bank first and seemed like they didn't want to hear it. He left and the "floor manager" came by to talk to me about getting the information to run a credit check and I told him the same thing and said "no" and I would come back after I had approval from my bank. He then proceeded to call me a "tire kicker." This greatly insulted me because when he explained what that was, which is somebody who supposedly goes around to dealerships and test drives cars and does not buy them. I was extremely upset and got up to walk out because I wouldn't comply and give him the information he wanted. He told me he could acquire a 1.99% APR through [redacted] "all day" as he put it and gave in to that, to find out later on from the General Manager that it wasn't the case and would have had a higher APR. I had left my driver's license in my vehicle and the dealership needed a copy. When I walked out to get it, I had my salesman following me like I needed to be escorted out and stood on my passenger side watching me as I grab my driver's license. Didn't appreciate that at all. While I was there during this whole process and confirming certain things about the automobile to my wife, my salesman and floor manager was standing nearby watching me to ensure I didn't walk off the lot. This had me very perturbed about this and the entire process of doing business. The automobile had a couple dents and scratches on the hood and was given a promise note to fix, which has not happened as of yet.Desired SettlementManagement and the owner has refused to contact me to deal with this whole issue. I am asking for apology from dealership for their employees actions in person and know what their employees are doing. Believe it or not, you are responsible for how they behave, act, and address people. That's what was always bestowed upon me while I was in the military, so I believe this to be true. They are also in default according to North Carolina Lemon Law because my vehicle is still brand new and my hood is dented when I bought it and has not been fixed yet. If not fixed in a timely manner, and may be sending them my letter of intent and their 15 day notice. I'm thinking about returning it if not fixed. If the dealership wants to go the extra mile on their behalf, I may listen.
