Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I asked Hotels.com/Expedia for a refund, but they said they needed RiverTides Suites to approve But even when I spoke to River Tides personally they refused to refund me I guess the other people that arrived from the same area were just lucky, because as I mentioned snow was predicted in the media and since we are unfamiliar with the area and the road signs said "chains required" we were unable to make the trip We didn't have chains for the car we were driving.So I mostly think the charge was unfair because we are not from the area and didn't think we could legally or safely make the trip because snow was predicted We were not sure what to expect on the route to Seaside Sincerely, [redacted] ***

We have called MrDavis to ascertain what we could do to remedy this matter A car from another guest was parked over the line of the one remaining car stall He wanted us to have the car towed so we could make room for his vehicle We are not able to do that Our agent at the desk then realized there were disabled parking stalls left and we had only one guest remaining to check in She made a suggestion that MrDavis could use of on of those three stalls until morning at which point MrDavis called the policeWe have responded to MrDavis, we have credited one nights room and tax to compensate him for his inconvenience We feel this is a fair and equitable solutionKind Regards,Christine ACochran, GMRivertide Suites HotelSeaside, OR

*** called 8/28/@ 11am to cancel his reservation We informed him it was too late to cancel and per policy, we would charge a cancellation fee equal to the first night lodging*** said he would look into it, and maybe send someone to the hotel to take over his reservation and that he
would contact us later We would hold his room for nights for him until we heard back *** called back on 8/28/@ 11:45am and said he wanted to keep Monday night but to cancel the following nights Guest did not show up for the Monday night reservation and was charged a no show fee as we held the room for him all night *** called on 9/6/and said he did not want to pay for the room we held for him After explaining the policy a third time, *** said he was going to file a complaint with the Revdex.com Which he did

What *** has done, is she booked through a third party, she booked on Expedia Booked on 12/at 3:pm And then on day of arrival which was 12/three hours after check in at 7:pm she called to cancel it It was already past check in and even with a very generous day of
arrival cancellation which we don't do, its hours or more It was too late to cancel so we charged her She didn't like that and none of the roads were closed I've got other people from that area that arrived So she wanted us to give her money back She didn't book through us She booked through a third party Third party wasn't going to let us get the money back so we couldn't let her have the money back Its just that simple
