this patient and speaking with her. I did apologize to for the late notice of the outstanding balance. We did bill her Insurance Company for her visit with us on May 3rd 2012. I had sent a total of 100.00 to [redacted] and they paid 23.20 and applied 76.80 to deductible. I received this explanation of benefits on 06/20/12. At that time my practice management system was not generating statements for new patients. By the time the error was correct it had been a few yrs. I had explained all this to the patient and she seemed to understand. she had asked me about the finance charges and I had replied stating that it was our error and that I would reverse the charges. She stated that she was on disability and that she could make small monthly payments, I told her that would be fine that I understood her situation. I also told her that if she got another statement with finance charges to call me and I would reverse them, she said ok.  Patient has made 10.00 a month payments since June for a total of 30.00.  After speaking with the doctors on this matter we have also written off the remainder balance of 46.80.
