Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The information May is providing is wrongMy event started at 5pm, yes the sun was up and disappeared behind the gray clouds within minutes, it stormed lightning & thunder from 5:30pm till the next morningSo please explain how inside could be that hot with a cold storm outsideDays prior and after the event was on storm watchAnd why on September 22, @ 12:16pm, would May tell me on our phone conversation that I was right about the AC something was wrong and she had to get it fixed? Does she like giving out information? I have also attached clips of the news channel weather report I specifically told her that from 8pm - 9:50pm, I could not find her staffMay told me the food should have been put away at 8pmThe captain server herself told me that they are taking a break to eat dinner & eat the food I purchasedWhether she ate my food or not, she did say that directly to me In my contract it doesn't state that they take a break! Which I also have a picture taken from our guest that night at 9:34pm with the food in the warmers in the background and the AC vent facing straight down where the servers & food wereAll the food was cold except the Kalua pork because we had an electric warmer (picture in attachment) that kept it hot, from there we transferred the kalua pork into the designated pans provided by the plantation and I personally knew it was hot because I was transferring it myself and after the cold food complaints, I was serving the kalua pork out of my warmer, which I knew first hand was hot because I made me a plate to eatMay and I both kept missing calls to resolve this matter, however I made the call attempts even if she promised to call by a certain day and didn'tShe mentioned on our phone conversation on September 22, 2015, that she wants to help me but her boss stands behind that staff and that they all vouch for the captainOkay so I can get my guests and the vendors that attended to vouch for meSo after her telling me that her boss sticks behind the employees, I tell her that I'm going to file with the Revdex.com and she asks me if I can file against the captain server and not the company Why does May says all these thingsTell me how does a group of Filipino workers that's speaking their language (Filipino) while working on duty could understand me, because every time I tried to talk to any of them they pointed out to the captainAnd I also thought in a workplace it's illegal to do so As far as my guest that fell ill, I did not sign line #on the contract! That's because I didn't agree with the terms, if they felt otherwise then my initials should have been there and verifiedPlease let me know if a statement from the vendors are neededMay needs to get her story straight because now it's changing from what she told me verballyIt also seems that she doesn't want to help me and hid behind "my boss" , so she didn't have to deal with it any moreMy story is not made up nor changing because it is the truth! Dear Mr [redacted] :In responseto the complaint you receivedon 4/20/2015, per our contractwith Mr [redacted] , Helemano Plantation's Cancellation Policystates that our agency "reserves the right to cancel any function for which the terms of the contracthave either not been fulfilledor have been violated prior to or during the function." It was also stated in the contract that "Helemano Plantation reserves the right to accept or refuse service to a customer."The full arrangements and purpose of Mr [redacted] 'sevent was not disclosed to our agency as requiredper our contract Mr [redacted] 's event also does not fit our policy and requirements We acceptedthis reservation out of good intentions and with the understanding that it was a family celebration of Mother's Day We did not know that Mr [redacted] was selling ticketsfor this event.Moreover, our agency's name was also marketedby Mr [redacted] and commercialized in manner that was not authorized by our management We only found this out when he put up a banner by our facility sign promoting the Mother's Day event,which seems to be more of a "fundraising" or "commercial" venture for Mr [redacted] 's company Attachedis a copy of the sign.We should be the one tod qJ.and compensation for the loss as our agency turned away othersfor this reservation We also were not aware and did not authorize the marketing and publicity that Mr [redacted] did for this event.If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us at [redacted] Sincerely, [redacted] Executive Assistant [redacted] ***Catering Staff

On August 26, 2015, *** called to complain about her party that was held on August 22, *** claimed that the area was hot, food was cold, no workers to be found untill0:30pmI explained to her that I will get back to her, since our captain "Henie" was the one scheduled on that
night and was not available to clarify things on that day.On the following day, August 27, 2015, I have met with Henie and included all workers that worked on her event All of them, stated that they all accommodated *** on her event.The weather on the day of her event was very hotAlthough the AC was ON at all times, due to the unusually high humidity and temperature from the weather, The AC could not keep up.Also, the guests were going in and out the doors allowing the cold air to escape Windows were opened to allow cool air to come in.The only food that was cold was their own food She brought frozen kalua pork She had expected our warmers to heat up their food before the party started Unfortunately, the warmers are there to keep things warm and/or hot, NOT to heat up foodPer our policy, Helemano Plantation's cooking equipment are strictly for the use of its own catering and food service and is not allowed to be used by the patron or the patron's guests.It is unfortunate that a guest of the Patron had to go to the hospitalThe heat and humidity that night was high and despite Helemano Plantation's air-condition being on, it was not enough to beat the heatHelemano Plantation cannot be held responsible by the Patron for what happens to their guest and for the weather. According to Henie, she let the workers leave for their meal except her She made sure that she was there to supervise the event at all times.The service fee cannot be refunded because the service was rendered and performed during the event

As I stated in my previous response, there is a staff on duty (Henie), throughout the party, even when certain catering staff take a break.   Henie made sure she was there to check that everything is running smoothly during the event.  There is an area where the other catering staff stays after the main foodservice has been provided.  They are available should they be called to assist by the Catering Staff Leader.It is up to the employer when its employees take a break and how its employees render the service.   Basically, the service fee paid by the customer is for the service.According to Henie, [redacted]'s husband offered food to them.  However, they did not accept nor take the food.Again, the service fee cannot be refunded because the service was rendered and performed during the event.
