I am rejecting this response because: No photo evidence of the bedbugs have been provided. I am asking for visual proof bedbugs were found in my unit. Typically if "damage" is done to a rental unit photo evidence is taken and filed as proof I still have not been shown in my lease verbiage where this should be a cost to me. I have a copy of my lease showing a break down of every cost for possible "damages" and nothing relates to bedbug treatment or removal I also have not seen the results of the other units in the same row. If protocol is to check for bedbugs on both sides of the suspected infected units there should be documentation of the inspection of unit *** If *** showed signs of bedbugs there should be an inspection for unit *** as well along with every unit until another unit is found bedbug free. I plan to pursue this matter until a refund is made.

unit we followed our own protocol and inspected the two neighboring unitsOur inspector found bedbugs in one neighboring unit but not the other.Whenever bedbugs are discovered in any unit they need to be treatedWhile we could have charged *** *** for the entire treatment cost we decided to only bill him for half of the costThis adjustment was made because only two bedbugs were found upon visual inspection of the unitWe view this as a suitable compromise of the situation.We consider bedbugs as to be an element of damage done to an apartment unitAs such, under Pennsylvania law we are allowed to retain funds from the security deposit to offset these damages.Very truly yours,Carole R.Property Manager
