The [redacted]’s purchased a modular home from Riverview Homes in November 2013.  The home was ordered from the manufacturer with a confirmation signed by the [redacted]’s dated 5/1/14.  The house arrived from the factory in June 2014.  The home arrived as ordered.  There were...

discussions that the home was not correct, though it did arrive as ordered.  In an effort to satisfy the customer a settlement was agreed too and a signed agreement was made.  Home was delivered August 2014.  RHI ran two service calls on the home to fix reported and warranted items.  No report of any problem with rear door.  In December when RHI was trying to receive final payment it became necessary to hire an attorney to represent us. In Feb 2015 an agreement was reached again and the final check was released by [redacted], no signed copy was returned since the [redacted]s were going to have it reviewed by their attorney.  At this time any service related items would be well outside the time limit of the 1 year warranty provided by the manufacturer.

I am aware that the customer is not satisfied with the home.  However, the home is as it was ordered by signed confirmation by the customer.  Assuming that RHI could have done more to insure the customer's satisfaction we agreed in writing once and then a second time to make a cash settlement to resolve the differences.  The second agreement has not been returned and that is why, at least some of the customer's complaints have not been addressed.  Customer is welcome to have his legal help review the settlement document and request any changes they would like.  As far as warranty service, a number of calls have been made to the home and as far as we know all warranty items reported within the 1 year warranty time frame have been addressed.

The manufacturer of the home [redacted] has been informed of the warranty items that need fixed and will make necessary arrangements to schedule repairs.  The A/C installer has been informed of the issue with the unit and will make arrangements to repair.  All repairs should be...

completed directly.

Review: We bought this home in August 2014. There are still problems that haven't been fixed. They replaced the water heater 3 times for example. It took them 6 months to do it. We still have problems from when the house was set and built. Right now our AC unit isn't functioning. I keep getting the run around from everyone on when the things wrong will be fixed. We paid cash fro this house.Desired Settlement: Repair ALL and I do mean ALL the remaining problems ASAP! NBot in 6 months or one piddly little item at a time.

Review: I am writing to inquire for an investigation into things about our trailer that we purchased in 2012. We purchased a new trailer from Riverview trailer sales in Butler, Pennsylvania. Everything was good with it when they installed it and we did not seem to have any issues with it until our kitchen floor began seperating a few months ago. We didn't know why and we come to find out that there was a water leak underneath the trailer. We had an appraiser from the homeowners insurance come but he did not look at the plumbing itself and gave us an appraisal for floor damage. We had a plumber come out and they cut open the underlay and the insulation and found the problems and fixed it. Now from what the plumber has said and gave us the section of pipe that was damaged that he thinks that this leak has been going on as a small thing since the trailer was installed because it looks as if the pipe was knotched out with a saw in cutting motions or he also said it could have been an animal came in through the space that was not filled in when they installed the central air unit and chewed through it but he was leaning towards the fact of it being knotched, which made a small hole and over time has leaked through in just causing the floor damage and the damage to the underlay and insulation of the trailer, he said there was such amount of water that the underlay was bowed the whole way to the ground underneath showing that it had been leaking for a long long time. We are both elderly and unable to get around all that well and the floor issue is very bad and having to find someone to fix it by the amount they want to give through our homeowners is not going to happen and also the fact of where are we supposed to stay while this work is being done since I personally am a disabled veteran with a bad heart condition and emphysema and my wife is in bad health herself and her mind is failing a bit also. There is other issues with the trailer that we are unhappy with, like the carpet is bubbling up in areas, which I can't see why we don't have heavy traffic, and we have had roaches appear within a month after moving into it and we keep getting told oh that is not our fault the place was clear. I want to know how the heck could it have been clear and all of the sudden we have them when I have never ever had roaches in my life not even in my old trailer that we lived in for 36 years. The seller told us that he was unaware that our warrenty was only for 1 year as the maintenance has said he thought it was 5 years and we just keep being told call the maintenance and they keep telling us there is nothing that can be done. I am very unhappy with this company and just want stuff figured out for us, if I would have known that I was going to have troubles I would have never bought from this company I just wanted a home to live the rest of our lives in. I am just asking for an investigation of some sort where maybe I can have a nice home like I thought I was getting whether it be getting it all fixed at their cost or something I really don't know. Please I would like contacted about this matter at ###-###-#### and ask for [redacted] all things should be done through me.Desired Settlement: see Attached document

This home was delivered in May of 2102. Their one year manufacturer warranty would have expired in May of 2013. Riverview's authority to conduct warranty service expires after the 1 year. I would believe the damage would be covered by homeowner insurance. If the homeowner insurance thought the damage was due to construction activities they would contact manufacturer. The [redacted] could certainly contact the manufacturer and ask Commodore Homes to inspect the damage and determine if it was caused by construction activity at the time of production. Commodore Homes [redacted]. They could ask for the service department. The following information will be needed to determine if these complaints are covered under Commodore's warranty. The serial number for the home [redacted]. Model number [redacted]. Production date at the factory was 11/3/2011. Delivery date to the retail site was 5/24/2012.

Review: To Revdex.com:

We bought this home in October 2013. In regards to RiverView Homes, Inc. based in Vandergrift PA, we are past dissatisfied with the company.

After countless meetings with the salesmen about our layout and features desired in our new manufactured home, several items were either not placed in the home or we were given the wrong item altogether.

For example, in the kitchen, we asked for staggered cabinets, we got standard ones. We opted for a countertop with bullnose edge (rounded) and received sharp ones! In our dining area, we wanted a storage cabinet with sliding shelves to place our counter appliances. The cabinet installed was something we never ordered! A basic cabinet with double doors and standard shelves. We had never agreed to this cabinet – someone just put it there.

In our master bathroom, we wanted a seat in the shower and there isn’t! The shower doesn’t even have a simple soap dish built into the wall. All of our soap, shampoo, etc. sits on the floor up in the corners! We found out later that if we wanted to have a soap dish installed, we would have had to let them know so they could have ordered us one! We were never made aware of this fact! We also wanted a storage cabinet with sliding shelves in the bath as well. Just got a basic one was put in. Worst of all, the tub we were interested in, a “Colorado” style (longer, not deeper), one salesman termed it, never made it to our master bath. In fact, we got a soaker tub, (deeper, not longer). Upon using the tub for the first (and last) time, the water leaked down our basement wall while draining it. The area underneath the tub contained installation which was soaking wet and was ruined. All the pipes underneath were leaking. Even the faucet wasn’t the right one for whatever style we got, the water didn’t flow in the right spot. The maintenance man who came to attempt to fix the problem spent over 3 hours on just the faucet and it is still loose.

The door on the side of the home is not square and as a result, the air comes through the top corner of the door. We have stuffed a towel at the top to keep the draft from coming in. We have asked the maintenance man to adjust it and he refuses.

We inquired at several meetings to let us have an options book to select certain fixtures and styles offered by the company, but every time we were told there wasn’t one available! There wasn’t even a website to view anything either. This was beyond upsetting, since we had upgraded to another style home, paid more money and told that everything we liked in our first choice of home could easily be transferred to our recent selection.

The company and its owners need to face up to the problems they created and admit they made mistakes. They told us what we wanted to hear and did nothing to resolve anything except give us one broken promise after another.

In any case, we paid them several thousand dollars, and we consider they defrauded and mislead us any way they could.

We would like the Revdex.com to look into this matter, it will be greatly appreciated.

We would like items replaced and/or repaired for the money we spent on our upgraded home, ASAP.

Sincerely,

###-###-####Desired Settlement: We would like items replaced and/or repaired for the money we spent on our upgraded home, ASAP.
