I am rejecting this response because: I WOULD LIKE TO SEND YOU PREVIOUS EMAILS  SHOWING THAT WHAT I HAVE SAID IS TRUE AND NOT ERONEOUS AS DIANE HAS INDICATED.  PLEASE SEND ME AN EMAIL ADDRESS SO I CAN FORWARD THEM TO YOU  AS PROOF OF DOCUMENTATION.  I AM WAITING FOR A CALL FROM [redacted] AT THE BERKS COUNTY AG CENTER ABOUT FILE #519 AND ITS INFORMATION.   THIS SITE ONLY ALLOWS ME ONE SCREEN  SHOT AND I HAVE SEVERAL.  DIANE HAS PROVIDED "ERONEOUS" STATEMANTS AND I WOULD LIKE THE CHANCE TO PROVE IT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP IN THIS DISTURBING MATTER.

September 22, 2015Dear [redacted],I am writing concerning a complaint ID [redacted]) dated 9/18 and received in our office today. I disagree with the way she categorizes our communication and state that we have not broken from our warranty in any way.The complainant first looked at the tree...

in early April, when she was misquoted a price that was for a much smaller tree of 1.25 to 1.5” caliper. The tree that she purchased was actually a 3 1/2" caliper Paper Bark Maple and should have been $ 399.99. Because she was quoted $199.99 in error, we honored that price. She then demanded that the tree be planted immediately and called several times, speaking with our office manager, Carol. We could not accommodate that request, due to our existing workload. She therefore had her arborist pickup and plant the tree. Please note: She accused our office manager, Carol, of never returning her calls-Carol returned at least 3 calls in my presence.Shortly after the purchase and pick-up of the tree, she contacted me concerned about the leaves. I told her that there were no diseased leaves when she purchased the tree. She next stopped at the garden center and I met with her. We spoke and agreed that while there were areas of browning on her leaves, there were no signs of disease on our trees at the nursery. As a gesture of good faith, I gave her a free bag of [redacted] [redacted] fertilizer and, after discussion, corrected the way that they were watering the tree. I also told her that she could take some leaves to the Berks County Agriculture Center for their evaluation.I believe that she emailed again and later stopped in a second time. She told me that the Ag Center and [redacted], a Master Gardener, had told her that this was Anthracnose and that it would kill the tree. She stated that [redacted] told her “she’d better talk to me and get me to straighten this out. I told her that I know [redacted] and that I would contact her. [redacted] actually called me later in the week and told me that she was concerned that she may have been misquoted by the complainant and that she had told the complainant to stop fussing with the tree and that Anthracnose would not kill it. Anthracnose can occur on a variety of trees and is fungal in nature.I don’t know how to address the complainants erroneous statements- I have met with her on 2 occasions (at the Garden Center) and have responded to her emails. I have had NO communication from her for months and thought that the issue was resolved.• As far as we know the tree is alive and growing at her home.• Our Warranty policy, which is clearly stated on our sales slips is attached.• The complainant was well aware of this warranty when she chose her course of action regarding the tree.• The tree was showing no signs of disease when it left our nursery.• We do not know how deeply or how well it was planted.• The complainant was not following recommended watering practices until she came into the garden center and met with me the first time.• I have just been in our tree sale area and there are two remaining [redacted] Trees of similar size that were grown in the same field and dug at the same time as the complainants tree. Neither shows any sign of Infection from Anthracnose or any other disease.Thank you for allowing me to respond. Should you wish to have further clarification, I would be happy to speak with you and/or send you photos of our trees. I would also be open to you calling the Berks County Ag Center and speaking with [redacted] concerning her communication with the complainant.Best,Diane S., President
