Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I have yet to receive adequate itemization/justification for the $impound fee, which I have requested directly multiple times now from the staff/management at Riverwalk Towing My vehicle was not tarped, was already locked when I parked it originally, and I received no record of a timely DPS search on my vehicle In addition, the licensed staff present refused to give me an explanation for the $impound fee at the time that I retrieved my vehicle, only saying "We charge that fee no matter what Even if we don't tarp, inventory, lock your vehicle or do anything else."This is unsatisfactory, dishonest and in violation of various consumer laws, namely the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act and the UCC Regards, [redacted] [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I hope someone will do something about this unfair rip-offIt is unfair, whether or not you are within your legal rightsIf you cared about anything but lining your pockets, you would not be doing it this wayYou could either boot and cite for a lower fee or give people a warning, and then if they do it again, sure, tow themI don't know enough about Texas Regulatory for your industry but I will look into it, as I have heard that you are trolling the parking lots looking for this type of unwitting error and taking full advantage of itI have also complained to the City of San Antonio and to a local TV stationIf this practice is allowed by law, then the laws should be changedYou are crooks and I will do my best to get this rectifiedI hope one day you have to re-pay all the people who have made this mistake Regards, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I hope someone will do something about this unfair rip-off. It is unfair, whether or not you are within your legal rights. If you cared about anything but lining your pockets, you would not be doing it this way. You could either boot and cite for a lower fee or give people a warning, and then if they do it again, sure, tow them. I don't know enough about Texas Regulatory for your industry but I will look into it, as I have heard that you are trolling the parking lots looking for this type of unwitting error and taking full advantage of it. I have also complained to the City of San Antonio and to a local TV station. If this practice is allowed by law, then the laws should be changed. You are crooks and I will do my best to get this rectified. I hope one day you have to re-pay all the people who have made this mistake.
