I contacted the founder, Brion Isaacs, and commissioned RDH for logo and website design and build work. Suffice to say that the experience was downright horrible. RDH is run by B. I[redacted], an irresponsible, unprofessional and frankly lazy founder. Not only were deliverables underwhelming in terms of design and sophistication, they were also grossly late - not days or weeks late, but rather months late. I[redacted] evaded multiple emails and phone calls and, in the rare moment he was reachable, he was full of excuses. Mr. I[redacted] is a spoiled descendant of the very successful [redacted] family, and it's clear that family money supports this "business". On weekends I[redacted] proclaimed even to us that he was DJ'ing and partying to late hours of the night to the detriment of meeting client deadlines (he never met a single deadline ever). The project never completed and was terminated early but after thousands of dollars invested. RDH's fancy website cites clients (some of whom include celebrities such as [redacted]) for whom RDH claims to have done work but it's all a ruse. The fact that none of the proclaimed work is actually displayed on their website is testament to the notion that the work was very peripheral, if it actually existed at all. Their own statement on their website "Does this play a role in our abilities? Who knows, but it sounds good on paper." sums up their joke of a business. Never should any prospective client seek to contract with this farce of a business called Rivington Design House.

Review: We hired Rivington Design House to build our logo/brand and our website. We signed a contract with [redacted] (Principal of Rivington Design house) on August ** 2013 and agreed to give a down payment of 2000 upfront (40% of total contract). He stated that typically the whole process (logo design, website and business cards should take 1 month to complete) [redacted] gave us the guideline that by the [redacted] of August he would give us a first look to what he has been doing. The coming day, [redacted] simply didn't get back to us at all. We decided to contact him and he let us know about delays and we would revisit the week after. The following Friday August [redacted], once again [redacted] simply disappeared and wouldn't take our calls. He got back to us over that weekend letting us know that we would have something (an initial batch not the final product) in the next 3 days. By August [redacted], We still had nothing shown to us and [redacted] explained that it would have to wait post labor day. On September [redacted] 2013, once again, he said he would get something to us by the end of the day and we still did not receive a single sketch or anything regarding our work and are starting to believe he hasn't done anything. When confronting him in showing anything to us he goes dark. one of my partners finally talks to him on the phone and [redacted] decides exceptionally to work all weekend on our design to catch up on the work load. As previously stated coming the end of the weekend nothing was delivered once again. [redacted], at this point, told us his father was in town and unfortunately he couldn't finish up the work in time but would give us our first batch on Monday as soon as he gets in the office. No surprise here, [redacted] simply never got back once again and I sent him a stern email explaining to him that it has been 1 month, that we have simply no proof of any work whatsoever and that we are running a business and have costs piling up because we cannot show our website in time. It has been 1 month and we haven't received any proof of work (not even a sketch)Desired Settlement: We desire to be reimbursed so that we can move on and hire a professional company. I have sufficient paper trail to prove my claims and will go to court if needed. This is a shameful and unprofessional way to deal with customers/people

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

I also would like to remove the complaint entirely as there was a technical glitch between both our systems which prevented him from respecting his last deadline , confirming it was sent vs me never receiving it

Sincerely,

Review: Every time an issue arises it takes several months of repeated texts, emails, phone calls to complete simple requests. Once in a while I receive a response insisting that the problem will be taken care of, but rarely does it happen, and if it eventually does, it is weeks before problems are resolved. The most recent issue, is my website's account has been suspended for several months. I've again repeatedly been asking for communication about what's being done to fix the problem. I was told it was due to an unpaid fee so I paid the fee, wrongly assuming the problem would be taken care of promptly. It's now been several weeks, and again I've sent multiple emails and texts, hearing back once that the problem would be taken care of in 2 hours. It's been over a week since I was told that and I haven't heard any response back as to what is happening or what the hold-up is. The amount of business/money I've lost because of Rivington Design House's lack of concern/communication about my issue is incalculable.Desired Settlement: I want my website back up and running.

Business

Response:

This complaint is invalid as it is a comaint for rivington design host - our hosting company. [redacted] account was suspended for sending out spam from bis email account which violates his terms and agreements with us. We have proof and documentation of this. While we do feel that this happened through hacking it is [redacted] responsibility to check his email account and what is going on with it. He also had an outstanding bill with us which was resolved a week or so ago but we have been trying to resolve his issue. This claim is invalid and should be dismissed.
