I would like to receive one of the city carts at RIZZO's expenseTheir worker destroyed the can, RIZZO should cover the cost and train their workers that they are not invisible and to treat citizen's property with more respect

Upon invesitgaging, Rizzo Environmental Services only has one date( 11/3/2014)  that the Resident contacted Rizzo  to inform us that his trash had been missed. The Supervisor of that area personally went to Residents home that same day and recovered missed trash.  The...

system does state that Resident requested $100.00 credit for the one missed stop, that was recovered the same day, that was not authorized.

We apologize for your bad experience.  Per the City we are advised each resident that resides on a main road is allowed to have one free can, however we are going to deliver you another today.  Again our apologies. Thank you

We show that Rizzo Environmental Services Supervisor had visited residence 3 times within one week.  The visits were to inspect small dents in a metal can, which unfortunately dent very easily.  When Supervisor knocked on the door and rung the doorbell there was no answer at...

residence.  Supervisor later returned 2 additional times knocking on the door and ringing the doorbell, Supervisor apologized at the time Resident answered for disturbing and/or scaring resident.  Supervisor and Resident inspected a metal can with small dents, Supervisor explained that trash bin was still usable but offered to bang out dents for resident, also informed resident that she could contact city and buy one of the carts the city provide, to which resident agreed.

Apparently, any “investigating” performed by Rizzo Environmental Services is as thorough as their actual work product. 
Rizzo states that “The Supervisor of that area personally went to Residents home that same day and recovered missed trash.”  This is inaccurate.  The Supervisor[redacted] came to the Resident’s house on November 4, 2014.  The scheduled trash pickup was the day prior, November 3, 2014.  The trash removal was already handled by Resident prior to the Supervisor’s arrival so as not to attract rodents.  The Supervisor did not “recover missed trash” as Rizzo states.  The Supervisor apologized to Resident for Rizzo’s mistake and said “he will have collectors pay particular attention to Resident’s trash in the future to make sure it is not missed.” 
Rizzo further states that “The system does state that Resident requested $100.00 credit for the one missed stop, that was recovered the same day …”  This also is inaccurate.  Rizzo has missed Resident’s stop on several occasions.  Credit request by Resident was due to these several missed pickups.  On each occasion, Resident’s trash was placed at curbside well before 7AM, the earliest scheduled pickup.     
 
May 19, 2008 – Trash not picked up.  Resident spoke with[redacted] in Rizzo offices.  [redacted] had a Supervisor [redacted] contact Resident.  Supervisor apologized to Resident and said to Resident that the trash would be picked up at the FOLLOWING morning thus assuming that Resident is content with attracting rodents and picking up loose garbage in the morning.  Resident informed the Rizzo Supervisor that this would violate Township ordinances which require all trash and trash barrels to be removed from curbside within 12 hours of scheduled pickup.   
 
February 9, 2009 – Trash not picked up.  Resident contacted Rizzo Supervisor.  Supervisor said Rizzo cannot issue a $10 credit to Resident.  Resident also spoke with [redacted] in Rizzo offices.  [redacted] would not issue a $10 credit to Resident.  Resident spoke with [redacted] of Rizzo a few days later.  [redacted] apologized for Rizzo’s poor performance and told Resident he will address these performance issues.  He also told Resident that a $10 credit will be issued. 
 
May 16, 2011 – Recycle bin not picked up.  Resident spoke with [redacted] in Rizzo offices.  A Rizzo Supervisor came by later in the day to pick up recyclables.
 
June 13, 2011 -  Trash not picked up.  Resident left a voice message for[redacted] and also emailed [redacted]  Two days later, June 15, 2011, Resident received a call from a [redacted] the Rizzo offices.  Resident explained the ongoing performance issues with [redacted]  [redacted] offered to have Rizzo pick up my trash (2 days after Resident’s scheduled pickup date). 
 
November 3, 2014 – Trash not picked up.  Resident contacted Rizzo offices later in the day.  As stated above, Rizzo Supervisor [redacted]) came to the Resident’s house on November 4, 2014.  The scheduled trash pickup was the day prior, November 3, 2014.  The trash removal was already handled by Resident prior to the Supervisor’s arrival so as not to attract rodents.  The Supervisor apologized to Resident for Rizzo’s mistake and said “he will have collectors pay particular attention to Resident’s trash in the future to make sure it is not missed.” 
 
As we can clearly see, there is an ongoing performance issue on the part of Rizzo Environmental Services.  Attempts to rectify this performance issue have failed.
 
Additional comments:
Resident is pleased that Rizzo Environmental Services ("Rizzo") acknowledges its poorperformance. As stated previously, there have been several missed pickups by Rizzo dating back toMay 19, 2008.
Resident will further correct the claims as stated by Rizzo:May 19, 2008 - Rizzo states that it "has made attempts to credit account" of Resident. [redacted] atRizzo offices refused issuing a credit of any kind due to their failure to pick up Resident's trash on thisdate. Further, Rizzo believes that sending a Route Supervisor to Resident's address to pick upmissed trash THE FOLLOWING DAY is acceptable. Having its customer clearly violate theTownship's previously stated ordinance on trash removal and attracting rodents is of no concern toRizzo.
February 9, 2009 - [redacted] of Rizzo contacted Resident 2 days after Rizzo's failure to pick uptrash on Fedruary 9, 2009. [redacted] did not speak "in length" to Resident. [redacted] contactedResident only AFTER Resident contacted the Township Public Works Director. The $10 credit issuedby [redacted] was AFTER Resident was earlier refused a credit by a Rizzo Route Supervisor andalso by [redacted] in Rizzo offices. Rizzo believes this symbolizes doing their "best to please Resident."
May 16, 2011 - Recycle bin not picked up, Rizzo claims this is because it was "left and tagged dueto there being trash mixed with the Recyclable." Yet another gross inaccuracy on the part ofRizzo. Resident spoke with [redacted] in Rizzo offices on May 16, 2011 .[redacted] was told by Resident thatall contents of recycle bin were placed in it by Resident. Resident also said that absolutely no trashwas placed in recycle bin. Resident also told [redacted] that NO TAG was placed on recycle bin byRizzo. [redacted] said to Resident that Rizzo should have left a tag on bin if there was in fact trashplaced in bin. I agreed. Since there was no tag , this verifies that no trash was placed in recyclebin. [redacted] was rude to Resident and would not credit Resident's account due to Rizzo's continuedfailure to properly perform it job. Recycle bin was later picked up by Rizzo Route Supervisor who hadno trash to "separate" from the recyclables.
June 13. 2011 - Rizzo states that a "Supervisor immediately went to home and there was nothingout." This is false. Resident left a voice message for [redacted] of Rizzo. Resident also emailed[redacted] Resident received no prompt response. Resident received a call from a [redacted] in Rizzooffices 2 DAYS LATER. [redacted] offered to have a Rizzo Route Supervisor pick up Resident'strash. Resident refused since trash was already handled by Resident. [redacted] would not issue a creditto Resident and made no attempt to address Rizzo's ongoing poor performance issues.November 3, 2014- Rizzo Route Supervisor, [redacted] did go to Resident's home to collectmissed trash- THE NEXT DAY. Once again, it is of no concern to Rizzo if a customer violatesTownship ordinance or attracts rodents to their property.
In summary, Rizzo has refused reasonable credit to Resident on all but a single occasion. Rizzoclaims that "Residence is double checked upon service day" yet their poor performance issuescontinue.
