Rizzo roofing employees refused to use harnesses while completing roof (even though we paid for harnesses), one of the crew members fell off our roof The team did not clean up after themselves, ruined our exterior house paint due to sloppy work with tar, and after months with a "new roof" it is leaking
Had to find another roofer and pay them to fix the mess that RIZZO created when they installed a new roof and pay to have house repainted When we contacted Rizzo, we never got phone calls or emails back

I am absolutely thrilled with my new roof !!!!! This company does superior work !! Fast , clean and friendly . By far exceeded my expectations!!

Rizzo Roofing was sub-contracted via [redacted], LLC, over our suggestion for other roofing companies, to do a repair due to fallen tree onto our house from a July 2015 storm, which eventually expanded to a complete re-roof in order to meet County Code. Almost the entire month of August was wasted while trying to get the County permit. More than once Rizzo stated they had the permit, which turned out to be less than truthful. Work did not begin until early September 2015, and had been nothing one lengthy list of incompetence and shoddy workmanship. It is best to avoid having conversation with Doug O[redacted] as this slick-willy is just plain full of it, and will bark off a litany of half thought out explanation to try and nullify any absurd act committed by the workers. For example, leaving skylights off during a brief rain shower so water entered the house in two different rooms ended up being a comment that his workers did nothing wrong, and if we wanted the crew to come back, then we, as homeowners, could either play foreman or give him a call on any day when we think there will only be a 10% chance of rain. No one of skill was ever present to supervise the few workers to came out on any given day. Some workers must have been day-laborers given their apparent lack of skills, needed persistent direction in order to perform the lowliest of task. One worker was spotted by my wife repeatedly "drinking" while on the roof, washing it down with water, then tossing the small bottles into the trash dumpster. Holes in the roof and damaged trusses were literally fixed in less than 1-hour with no photos taken, no "specialist" present to sign off on the effort (especially from [redacted]), except for the fact that one of the latino workers seemed to have some idea on how to use a skill saw and hammer, so the repair was just "scabbed" in. Corner cutting seemed to be the only genuine skill that was evident....fascia measure and installed wrong, holes left in place, pool enclosures braces broken and rather be re-installed properly were just glued to the new shingles (requiring yet another expert to fix this particular mess). Shingles improperly placed down, A punch list of at least 12 or more repair items had to be modified more than once, and on 3 separate occasions, the same slack workers who cut corners in the first place, were sent back out to effect remedy and repairs....and let me emphasize 3 attempts at this...and still not everything is right. The Contractor said he ahs used Rizzo Roofing on many other occasions - heaven help those homeowners who likely have not been made aware of the slack work ethic. One can only hope that there are no problems down the road, which seems to be less of a certainty...especially in what we have seen. Rooted wood was left in place which should have been replaced. Minimal new wood was added in some places and never primed - though we have primed and painted wood ourselves as Rizzo Roofing was incapable. The explanation was that rotted wood is not always replaced, if there is nothing to nail new wood into....what? A roofer would replace rotted wood, that is part of the job. Just today, we have found a hole with insulation showing that is in a corner of the roof underneath a soffit, and apparently, not of any concern to Rizzo given all the trips made to either install the new roof in the first place, and then all the follow-up visits to address a repair "punch list". No one from this company should every show their face at our house again. Anthony Rizzo Sr had spoken with my wife about some of the shoddy workmanship and said it would be taken care of...but by who with any skill and pride in what they do? Same workers who cut corners in the first place. Anthony Rizzo Jr was present a few times, but as a young person in his 20's (at best), seemed more interested in his smartphone than actually being a foreman to his so-called workers. As a roofing company, next stop may be a State Agency and see what sort of investigation can be started given the incredible history chronicled on this job. Anyone who hires Rizzo Roofing should be fully aware of what it is THEY ARE NOT GETTING, and should be very afraid of the outcome from such shoddy, incompetent work ethic and outcomes.
