First and foremost-R&J Builders Builders made no promises as to when the cabin would be finished, it was stated "It is a goal, I hope to have it done by, I estimate it might be done by, I will do my best to finish by, etc." The weather played a huge factor in whatever delays there were, it has been one of the worst winters we have had in a long time. As well as waiting on septic,electricity, plumbing, painting, heat, etc.

The [redacted] are forgetting how many times they called [redacted] to meet them at the cabin site and then called and cancelled-there is no cell phone service up there so he would get home and there would be a message on the landline. I can't tell you how many VM's [redacted] left on our answering machine long rambling "freak outs" ([redacted] words)-they held up the project themselves with constant changes and indecisions.

The certified letter is still a mystery to us how we even got it they addressed it as follows-

This is [redacted] place of business and the p.o. box gets and checked very seldom [redacted] has no P.O. key to this box(my coffee shop is called [redacted]). Why didn't they send it to [redacted] directly? They have to have had R&J's address? [redacted] was out of the country from Feb. 10-18 with no cell phone service.

[redacted] went up to their cabin on Feb 11 but the road was blown shut-another issue he could do nothing about! They were suppose to call him not email [redacted] when the shower door was going to be delivered-instead they emailed [redacted].

R&J Builders does not usually do the things they asked of [redacted] at the end-most of the little things they wanted done the home owner does-as far as [redacted] was concerned the bank signed off,they signed off and so did he. The little extra things he agreed to do would have been finished when he had time to do them, the [redacted] were not his only clients! The settling of the porch is just that settling, [redacted] told them there was nothing to be done about the outside projects till spring-the integrity of the porch is not an issue. Once again most of these projects are not things R&J would undertake with past clients.

R&J Builders does not feel we are in the wrong here. The [redacted] were told [redacted] would do those things as a good faith gesture. The [redacted] are the ones who jumped the gun and turned this over to the Revdex.com and the SCC because [redacted] wouldn't call them back in what they thought was a timely manner.

We also would have liked to have seen this project end positively-but don't see how at this point. We certainly want nothing more to do with them.
