RJ Heating & Air Conditioning Reviews (4)

Review: I paid, in full, to have a furnace, humidifier and thermostat installed by RJ Heating. The install came with a one year warranty. After a few months, I reported issues with the thermostat and developed water in my exhaust port that is not supposed to be there. After being unable to find the problem with my thermostat, RJ heating agreed to reimburse me for a new one (I returned the old one) and fix my problems. After three trips to the house and several months, they resolved the issues. The reimbursement they sent to me had deductions for time and materials, both of which were required for the new install (of which I already paid for) and to fix the problems. It is not my fault that they didn't resolve the issue the first two visits and had to come here three times. Their service techs made admitted errors and the owner is well aware of them.Desired Settlement: I would like the remainder of my refund and for the business to honor their warranty.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I think the checks cleared so we should be good. Thx!

Review: Sales person from RJ Heating sat at my kitchen table stating that I could buy the new heating system for $2000 plus to be paid off in a year or I could be charged $3860 plus to be paid of in 36 months. On 3-14-14 [redacted] added to my balance $1,044.74 Interest Charged on Purchases because I didn't pay off the balance before that date a year after purchase. Previously I was financed by [redacted] for a sofa-bed and a curio cabinet both to be paid off within six (6) months from [redacted]. Then I financed with the same Bank a bedroom set with mattresses to be paid off within six (6) months. Both purchases were paid off on time. My sales person at [redacted] made sure I understood I had to pay off both balances in six (6) months or I would be hit with the higher interest charge. RJ Heating's sales person was so busy making sure I upped the sales to a higher amount that he didn't discuss the pay off by twelve (12) months. I'm thinking that by doing a slower pay off time the higher balance would keep me from over-extending myself. If the sales person would have been more detailed in his sale's pitch I would have taken the lower amount to pay off in twelve (12) months. My pay-off record shows I am more than able to complete a sales transaction. I got verbally scammed into a higher balance, and a higher interest charge on an unpaid balance. I am not a CPA, but I can be talked to and understand directions. The RJ Heating sales person didn't give all the necessary information about the sale.Desired Settlement: I want RJ Heating, along with cooperation from [redacted], to refund me $1,000.00. The $44.74 can be put towards Interest Charges incurred during the time it takes to come to agreement on this matter. I hope RJ Heating is not making this a common practice by their sales people. It is vicious and unethical.

In Responce to this complaint it is not RJ Heating's place to call her before her six months is up with [redacted]. She has all the paperwork with all the information on it, which she signed and has a copy of it. We are not

responsible for her payments.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I do not agree with RJ Heating and Air Conditioning's response to my complaint against them. I did not expect them to notify me within six months of payments due. I did not expect them to help me pay the bill (how weird can a company get). Oh, and the balance has been paid in full by me. I paid if off because I was scared to go into next month, and what would be added to the balance at that time.

I called RJ Heating /AC because my furnace was blowing cool air -no HEAT. The Technician replaced Pressure switch-1-13-25-furnace stopped working by 3-11-13. I called them again by 1O-3-13-this time the Technician replaced bad ignitor. All these repairs and the major problem is not fixed furnace blower is not working 11-18-13 - contact RJ Heating and respond was we sent the owner of RJ to figure out the problem ( which they already Know) They can fix it OR you can hire someone else to fix it. Then they laughed and said you would spend $400 to fix a blower for 20 year old Furnace. Now RJ think its funny that they got $380 from me and the furnace still has the same problem. I paid for repairs but RJ Heating want to take money until I purchase a new furnace from them. RJ Heating installed my furnace 20 years ago AND THIS HOW THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!

Review: I contact RJ to repair a central air unit at [redacted]. The technician replaced the blower motor on the unit. After several weeks my tenant contacted me saying the central air unit stopped working again. I contact RJ and they sent another technician out to inspect the unit. He said the unit needeed freon. I asked if that was possibly the issue in the first place and if the blower motor was replaced unnecessarily. The tech proceeded to tell me the first tech tested the unit and found that it was fully charged. He said the freon leaked out because the caps on the unit were missing. This is where I have a problem. I told RJ if the caps are missing it is because there technician did not put them back. There would be no reason for anyone else to do anything with that unit.....Desired Settlement: That RJ replace the caps on the unit and fill it with freon. The first tech said the unit was fully charged when he replaced the blower motor.....

On July 25, 2013 our service technician went to Mr. & Mrs [redacted]'s property at [redacted] for service of an air conditioniner that was not cooling. Our service technician found that the air conditioner was working and had freon in it. The problem was that the furnace had a defective blower motor and capacitor. Therefore when the air conditioner was running, the blower motor could not blow the air through the ducts to cool down the residence. Our serviceman was told to call the owner if any parts were needed and he did give [redacted] the cost for repair. She agreed and the service technician replaced both parts for the furnace. On July 25, 2013, the a/c was running and cooling properly after the parts were replaced. Again, the air conditioner was not the problem, it was the furnace that was the problem. On August 14, 2013, twenty (20) days after the initial service call, [redacted] called us to report that the air conditioner was not cooling. We sent another service technician to the property the same day to find out that the caps were removed from the outside air conditioner and there wasn't any freon in the unit. Our service technician was told by the gentleman who allowed the service technician into the house for repair that the unit was cooling fine for couple of weeks. At that time our service technician called [redacted] to report what he had found. [redacted] said to our service technician that she did not have the money to have the air conditioner repaired so the technician left the premises.

[redacted] has accused RJ Heating of removing the caps, but why would the air conditioner work for almost 20 days before? Sometime around August 12, 2013 someone had to remove the caps and then the freon leaked out. If indeed it was our company at fault, the a/c would not have worked for 20 days. Talking with [redacted] on August 20, 2013 I, [redacted] tried to explain the situation to [redacted] with no results. I tried to compromise with her by asking her to retract the Revdex.com complaint. When and if she does this, I would then send a technician to the property to put in freon and replace the caps. She said she couldn't retract her complaint, so until this is resolved by her. will I send anyone to her property for repair. [redacted] has called both our technicians and my office assistant liars. All I want is to resolve this complaint and keep our A+ rating with Revdex.com. I feel by [redacted] retracting her statements and RJ heating repairing her present problem, is going over and above customer satisfaction. By the way, the furnace and air conditioner at this property is not our installation.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that the resolution (recharge unit and replace caps) is satisfactory.
