Review: On August *, 2014, my daughter and I visited RK Bridal and put a down payment ($700.00 in cash) on her bridal gown. My daughter was notified in October that "her" dress had arrived in the store and she needed to schedule a "try on" appointment. We came down to the store on October **, 2014, for said appointment. We were brought to the back room where we met her bridal consultant. When the consultant brought "my daughter's" wedding gown to the changing room, the gown was hanging in an old garment bag, which struck us as unusual. As the consultant pulled the gown out of the bag, numerous beads began to fall off the bodice. When we asked her "why are the beads popping off", she said it happens and can be repaired at the time of alterations (beads popping off a "new" dress is unacceptable). The bottom of the gown was frayed, the fabric had a "grayish" color to it (gown was ordered in ivory) and as my daughter moved from the dressing room to the outside mirror, beads continued to fall to the floor. This was not my daughter's NEW, wedding gown; but a used and or sample dress. Other visitors in the dressing room as well as members of my daughter's bridal party all agreed the dress was NOT new. Unfortunately, no one at the store could help or refund us due to their "no refund policy". Although I respect most "no refund" policies on a new, special order merchandise, this gown was definitely not a new dress. My daughter emailed the store and they apologized for the situation, but will not refund our money. I personally, sent RK Bridal a letter dated November **, 2014, and to date, have not heard from them. Needless to say, we are seeking your help in resolving this matter as we have to purchase another bridal gown and we need our deposit to do so. Review: We purchased a wedding dress from RK Bridal and paid in full. After receiving the dress we opted to pay an additional fee for alterations. RK Bridal insisted the fee be payed in cash. We paid the fee in cash for which we were given a photo copy of supposedly the receipt. On the paper, the grand total is circled in a black sharpie and at the bottom of the page the letters PD are written with the same sharpie. When we came to pick up the dress, we did not have the receipt with us and in the store they denied we paid for alterations. When we got home we sent the store a scan of the receipt but they replied that the word PD on the bottom of the receipt applies only to the bottom part of the receipt, even though the grand total is clearly circled with the same sharpie.Desired Settlement: We believe the store is not providing legal receipts for alterations for which they charge "cash only." The store should provide legal, clear receipts for cash received. Therefore, we would like to receive a legal receipt for our purchases at RK bridal including dress, sashes and alterations.

In regards to [redacted]'s experience, we have apologized to her already for the mix up on the payment of her alterations. Her alterations were paid but just not marked on the paperwork that was with her dress.
