RK Marketing Reviews (11)

My husband and I signed up with RK Marketing (which we thought was America's Security- ADT Authorized dealer)After realizing that $a month for security monitoring plus the $upfront (which we were told would only be $99) was out of our budget we cancelled the system within our 3-day windowIn all of our contract paperwork, it states that our money will be refunded within ten (10) business days following the receipt of the cancellationBy day eleven (11), I still had not heard a word from anyone about our refundI called ADT, and was on the phone for well over minutes until I was transferred to RK MarketingI had to email a copy of the check they cashed so they could give us a refundIt is now business day sixteen (16) and we are still waiting for our refund check to come in the mailThe thing that upsets me most is that we did everything on our end to cancel the system within the allotted time, and yet the company never once reached out to us to confirm anything or to give us our refund within a timely mannerI'm just glad I stayed on top of thingsWe will not be dealing with anything RK Marketing again

RK Marketing has a zero tolerance for deceptive sales practicesThe rep in question was immediately terminated after an internal audit of this customer.ADT has confirm the rate is accurate to Mrs Edwards request She has been notified via phone with the resultsWe have also repeatedly reached out to Mrs Edwards to explain the term of the ADT agreementThere is no shorter term optionADT only offers a month agreementWe have also agreed to take care of any overlapping fees associated with the cancellation of her previous service

On 7/25/2015, we received a knock on our door by a RK Marketing employeeHis name was Mark D***In addition to Mark, he was accompanied by a trainee by the name of JustinMy husband took the time to hear them out and after they completed their pitch, he consulted with me on a possible installationMy initial instinct to the pitch was a ‘No’, however, we did want to install ADT in our new homeTherefore, I was willing to hear Mark and Justin out to see what they could offer
Some background on my reasons on the initial ‘No’: I was pregnant with our second child and was only week away from my due dateAfter my delivery, we would only be financially stable to cover our current responsibilities and would not be at liberty of adding an additional responsibility -financiallyWe previously had planned to install the ADT security system in January of
Mark attempted to have us sign up with RK Marketing and offered us free equipment and also stated that our previous ADT equipment installed in the house could be re-usedI thanked Mark and Justin for their time and kindly declined I informed Mark that when we were ready for the responsibility, we would go through ADT directly for installationMark quickly interrupted me and told me that the ADT security system is ONLY sold through authorized dealers and I would not be able to go through the company directly (I later learned from an ADT customer service Rep this is FALSE)I was thankful for the information, however, I still declinedWe then walked them to the front door and dismissed them from our home
minutes later, we received another knock on our doorMark and Justin were at our front door AGAINMark then offered to pay our bill for the remaining of the year (months) and pleaded for a saleMark stated that he wanted to have a sale so Justin could see the sale processWe accepted the offer and decided to move forward with the installation on 7/31/(which was my due date)We mutually agreed on a check for the amount of $Mark was extremely thankful and assured us that we would have a check from him on 8/10/per the funding of the account would be made on that day to himWe agreed and filled out the paperwork
I gave birth to our baby on 7/30/2015, we were released from the hospital on 7/31/and made arrangements with the technician to meet us at our house in the late afternoon
We met Rodney, he stated that our original ADT sensors were too old to use and that Mark did not give us the correct information regarding the sensorsHe installed the system and explained the how to’s
Meanwhile, we were charged $upon completing the online documentation (Mark failed to explain that would happen)
August 10th came and went and we saw NO check from Mark, we called him and he explained that he did not get funded for the account yet and that there was some sort of delayHe gave us a new date of a week later- 8/17/While waiting, we were charged ANOTHER $and we still did not have the check from MarkAggravated, I decided to contact him to let him know how I felt about the situation as I was very adamant in the beggining about us NOT having the funds to pay for this at this timeMark was very unpleasant and stated that he explained all this to us and that we would get our check when he got fundedI then advised him that if I knew it would be this much trouble, I would have never agreed to the installation and that I just wanted to cancel the serviceMark then answered very humorously that I could only cancel days after signing up (which he did not communicate to us in the beginning!!) and that I would HAVE to pay a fee if I wanted to cancel now
I decided to call ADT customer service to see if they knew anything about this mystery check and what I could do about the situation, I spoke to a lovely ladyShe confirmed that ADT has nothing to do with the promises these dealers provide and she also recommended that I call RK Marketing directly and ask to speak to a manager instead of dealing with Mark directly
We called RK Marketing, they had no clue about a check! My husband moved forward with contacting Mark and told him what we were informedMark got very defensive and stated that the company told him that they would cut the check directly to us because the money got deducted from his personal check
Fast forward a month and a week later and we finally got the check!
This has truly been the most unpleasant and inconvenient experience we have ever encounteredWe simply tried to help a “salesperson” out by trusting him and giving him a chanceWe were completely bamboozled and suckered into signing up for a WHOPPING year contractThis company and its employees take advantage of working middle class families that are simply trying to get by
I deeply wish that we did not sign up that day and completely regret giving these people the time of the day
We had issues with the employees, the authorized dealer, the installation, the equipment, and the serviceI hope ADT Security takes the proper steps to eliminate this abusing company and takes the proper steps on how to create good consumers they can keep for the long runTruthfully, if it weren’t for this two year contract, we’d no longer be a customer now and I do not forsee ourselves continuing the ADT service once the years are up
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE OR COMPANY!!

RK Marketing are scammers and theivesThey represented themselves as *** and did opposite what they promised from the start
We agreed to let them connect their security package with a verbal understanding that we were going to have outside security cameras hard wired to our already hard wired security system which DR H*** had installed when we moved into our homeThe sales representative Brett assured us the cameras would be hard wired to our existing security systemBrett told us at the time of sale that the cameras would arrive and be installed weeks later
When cameras arrived, they were mounted to the outside of the house like we expected, however, they were both plugged into the outside outlets! We told them this is not what we agreed upon and we had them uninstall everything that belonged to them including those ridiculous cameras that they called hard wired security cameras that plug into the outside outlets! How is that security?
Months later, my wife and I found out that the RK Marketing installer took the motherboard to our existing security system along with their own equipmentCrooked theives
DO NOT TRUST RK MARKETING!
This company repeatedly sent us monthly bills to months after they uninstalled their equipment for service we were not utilizingWe called RK marketing and *** and told them that we do not have their equipment anymore so stop billing us! They finally stopped billing us and supposedly closed the account and reversed all back charges (so they said)Today, which is almost eight months later, I got an email (not a phone call) from them stating that they were going to send us to collections! Unbelievable!
