Deceiving and inaccurate pictures and descriptions
IF YOU DON'T PLAN ON INSPECTING ITEMS, DONT BID! Descriptions and pictures can be deceiving, they are INTENTIONALLY misleading to get more bids. I've spent near $6k this month at auctions, happy with most of my items. Be especially careful buying anything that isn't new. I've gotten 3 used items that were "like new" but are filthy and dont work as they should, buying dyson replacement parts isnt cheap, at the cost paid I couldve gone new somewhere else for a little more. They will sell you defective items and if you dont return within 48 hours you can kiss all that money goodbye. Hundreds down the drain for me and tens of thousands for them in lost revenue, I wont be back.

I do a lot of online auctions, and have never had the experience I have had with this companyI was bidding on an auction that had many lots of clothing/shoesI entered my bid with a decimal point-for example for dollars and I confirmed my bidWhat I did not know was that the software registered my dollars as This was for a pair of boots, worth maybe $topsOn another page I entered dollars and the confirmation screen said dollars. This time I caught the errorI cancelled the bid and re-entered the five dollars with a decimal point as per my example, times, and each time when I went to the second page to confirm my bid, the screen said it was I gave up entering my bid with a decimal, which is how you are supposed to enter a bidI called to complain about what appeared to be a glitch with the software they use, as the problem did not happen on every bid, and was told they would not erase my bid, but would delete the computer error of the dollar max bidHuh? Hello,
*** made a bidding error and bid on an auctioneer note for centsThat is why there was a cent charge on the accountThe cents has been refundedOur system shows only one $authorization on the bidding account, which was declined on our end because we
have an extremely high fraud protection thresholdThis means that we do not have the ability to release the hold, and he must contact his credit card company directly in order to have the hold releasedI do not know where the other $he is claiming is coming from, as there is no record of it in our system whatsoeverHe may have bid on an additional auction hosted by one of our partners in which case he would have to communicate directly with themUnfortunately, we cannot give back money that we do not haveOur terms clearly state: 3. Deposit: In order for the Auctioneer to process your winning bid, we must have a working *** or *** associated with your account. After you have registered for this online auction, the Auctioneer will authorize the credit card you have placed on file for $100.00. This $deposit is not a charge, only an authorization hold; if you decide not to make any bids during this auction, or if none of your bids are successful, the Auctioneer will not take any money from your account, and the authorization hold on your $will be lifted in accordance with the procedures of your credit card provider and/or banking institution. If you fail to provide full payment for your purchases, the $authorization hold will be captured and applied toward your outstanding balance I hope this explanation serves as a resolution to this requestSincerely,
Marie J***

I do a lot of online auctions, and have never had the experience I have had with this company. I was bidding on an auction that had many lots of clothing/shoes. I entered my bid with a decimal point-for example 4.00 for 4 dollars and I confirmed my bid. What I did not know was that the software registered my 4 dollars as 400. This was for a pair of boots, worth maybe $150.00 tops. On another page I entered 5 dollars and the confirmation screen said 500.00 dollars. This time I caught the error. I cancelled the bid and re-entered the five dollars with a decimal point as per my example, 3 times, and each time when I went to the second page to confirm my bid, the screen said it was 500.00. I gave up entering my bid with a decimal, which is how you are supposed to enter a bid. I called to complain about what appeared to be a glitch with the software they use, as the problem did not happen on every bid, and was told they would not erase my bid, but would delete the computer error of the 400 dollar max bid. Huh? Crystal told me that "she knew it was my fault because it came from my IP address". Talk about clueless. I told her it wasn't the IP that was the problem, it is obviously a problem with the software they use. Still did not compute. I then told her she could erase my bid or I would talk to my bank to deny the charge from them. I had asked for a supervisor which she could not provide, only the email of the owner Chris Rasmus. I then tried to log into my account a minute later and was told by the screen that my account was no longer authorized. Talk about customer service. I called Crystal again and she then informed me that they were erasing my account, and that she had spoken to their "computer people" who assured her everything was fine. Please do not be victimized by these people. They have problems with their software and are either lying, or indifferent to the people they make money from.

Review: RASMUS Auctioneers listed a cheap projector (PLC XT11) as a more expensive model (Sanyo PLC-XT25L) in their auction.

I bid according to their description of the projector and won the auction. I picked up the projector and the other items I won. I immediately discovered that they had incorrectly listed the projector and requested a refund.

They have refused to answer the requests I have made since March 2013 asking for this to be resolved.

Rasmus made the mistake, cost me a large amount of money and are completely ignoring me.

To illustrate how badly this auction was run, during the same trip to pick up these items, I also discovered that RASMUS had allowed someone else to take another item I had won and had travelled to pick-up (a tall 68" office cabinet). I spent 1 hour looking for that missing item and they were unable to provide the item--wasting my time and illustrating how disorganized they were in this instance (the cabinet price was ultimately refunded, but they refuse to address this other problem)

The auction information for the projector from their invoice is as follows:

12770 1 PROJECTOR SANYO PRO XTRAX SERIES PLC-XT25L WITH PJ NET ORGANIZE

(As stated above, this is incorrect, the projector is the much cheaper PLC XT11)Desired Settlement: Full refund.

Response:

**. [redacted],

We apologize for the delay in your refund and the lack of communication. Looking back at our records we can see that you requested a refund on the item, the request got sent to our on-site team for confirmation, but the item was never actually refunded. Again, we apologize for this delay and we have hired someone since then to specifically ensure that things like this no longer happen. Your money has been refunded as requested and we would like to set up a time with you to have some one pick up the merchandise (projector) from you. We also noticed that you posted a complaint on [redacted], and since this issue has been resolved, we would like for you to take it down if you don't mind.

Thank You and sorry again for the inconvenience,

Rasmus Auctioneers
