RNR Computer

I was having graphics issue with my 2011 A1297. So I visited the APPLE store here in SI,NY but staffs there said they don't support to fix this model anymore.
did some research online and seems like ship it out to 3rd party repair shop will be the only choice.

Found this Rnr computer at ebay, price is not the lowest, but it guaranteed brand new GPU. so I wanted to give it a try. meanwhile I was nervous about it coz I seen some bad words online the company.
but I also see they sold the most for that model, some previous buyers were with computer shops ( user name like "macdaddy" "ubreakifix" and stuffs. )

we messaged a bit and asked them what's the deal with the bad case out there against them, the sales person replied:" we dealt with 10+ machine a day, 2000+ a year, for almost 8 years, do you think there will be 0.1% scammer or unreasonable buyers?"

doesn't sound very polite to me , but I figured it kind of make sense.

gave it a shot, shipped them the laptop and back in 4 days, result was EXCELLENT.
my old GPU was 6750 ATI, and was replaced with 6770, I let a friend of mine checked the board, the GPU was with date code 18+ which means was made in 2018.

had been using it since that until now, running perfect.
can't show my appreciation enough especially for only that 200 price.

I would say they don't care much about how scammers or bad guys say about them online, because they probably focus on wholesale customers like computer shops.
( the ones that have fancy store front and charge you way more, and send to Rnr computer for repair ?)

if they do better on advertising, I don't think the price would be that low

Similar story as those above. I bought a motherboard from RnR Computers on Ebay. After installation, the motherboard kept restarting. I contacted them to troubleshoot the issue but it could not be resolved. They finally suggested I send in the computer so they can fix it. It took them two months to figure out what the issue was then another 3 months to get shipping arranged. It has not been 6 months since I sent in my computer for repairs and I have yet to receive it. Their communication and customer service is terrible. Trustworthiness of the business (now that I have been through this experience) is nonexistent. RECOMMENDATION for those considering buying from RnR Computers: DO NOT purchase anything from them.

Review: I sent my laptop to RNR computer for motherboard repair. While they had my laptop, it was dented and scratched. They were unable to fix it so they sent it back. I found the damage when it came back and they claimed the post office damaged it in shipping. It was well packed so I doubt that is true, but they also threw away the packaging so there is no way to prove it. They claimed they had video of my computer being worked on and could show me that it was damaged when it arrived. I asked to see the videos and was told they don't have the videos and that I needed to leave them alone. They also told me they weren't going to pay for any of the damage. A friend was able to repair my laptop and when he took it apart, the inside was also dented and damaged. There were also a lot of screws missing.Desired Settlement: The seller offered to replace the case for me but then changed his mind. I think replacing the case is a fair settlement but they need to provide the new case and funds to have it installed. If a new case isn't able to be obtained, I feel they should pay for my laptop so I can purchase a new one that hasn't been damaged by them.

Sells notebook mother boards Ebay that are defective and makes excuses not to repair.

I purchased the board and replaced it. Notified RnR that it was having the same issues. They said we could send the entire notebook to them to look at but that the boards bios probably needed to update since it was a new board. The issue continued to do the same as it was before until the screen is completly out again.

I contacted them and they are telling me that it is beyond their warranty period. Although when I purchased the board the listing stated 6 month warranty on the board. Now they have updated all of their listings to only be 60 days.

They are requesting me to contact Toshiba to get the issue fixed since its beyond their so called warranty period and not their problem now.

After making calls to licensing offices in NYC they have no records of the company operating.Desired Settlement: repair the board
