Review: ON JULY 2 2014 I PURCHASED A 2004 HARLEY DAVIDSON ROAD KING MOTORCYCLE. WITHIN A COUPLE OF WEEK I NOTICED THAT THE MOTORCYCLE WAS MAKING SOME ENGINE NOISES. SO ON JULY 22,2004 I RETURNED THE MOTORCYCLE BACK TO THE PLACE OF PURCHASE, WHERE A TECHNICIAN FROM ROAD TRACK AND TRAIL TOLD ME IT WAS A CAM TENSIONER AND THAT IS WAS JUST WEAR AND TEAR . AND I WAS TOLD THAT SINCE I DIDNT HAVE THE BIKE FOR 30 DAYS THAT THEY WOULD COVER THE COST 50/50. SO AFTER A WEEK LATER I CALLED ABOUT MY MOTORCYCLE AND WAS TOLD THAT METAL CHIPS WERE FOUND IN MY OIL AND THAT THE ENGINE WOULD HAVE TO BE TORN APART IN ABLE TO FIND THE PROBLEM OF WHERE THE METAL CHIPS WERE COMING FROM.. TWO WEEK LATER I CALL ABOUT THE STATUS OF MY BIKE AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE C[redacted] WAS OUT OF SPEC AND HAD TO BE REMANED, AND THAT MY OUT OF POCKET COST WOULD BE $1,244.53. NOW I HAVENT HAD THIS BIKE A WHOLE MONTH YET AND I REALLY CANT AFFORD TO PAY THIS MUCH MONEY ON A MOTORCYCLE I HAVENT HAD A MONTH .Desired Settlement: I WANT MY BIKE FIXED WITH NO COST TO ME OR I WOULD LIKE A FULL REFUND

Review: We purchased a snowmobile from Road Track and Trail in March 9, 2013. We had the snowmobile less than 20 days and the engine seized. We put less than 200 miles on it. We contacted RT&T and they said to bring the snowmobile back to them for them to look at it. (it was over a 2 hour drive each way) After they looked at it, they said the top part of the engine needed to be rebuilt, but they would do the work for us at cost and charge no labor. Our portion of the cost came to $1303.37. (They wouldn't even throw in a spare belt for our driving time and troubles) After repairs were done, we picked up the sled on 9/7/13. When the 2013-2014 snowmobile season opened, we immediately starting having issues with the snowmobile (sled seemed to sputter and not run right, coolant hose blew off sled while out on trails and engine light came on). Upon calls to RT&T, we were told that they didn't have a computer to hook the sled up to, so we should go to a Ski-doo dealer and have it looked at. We brought the sled to a Ski-doo dealer and after they looked at it, it was found that the temp sensor was never even plugged back in after the engine rebuild. While having the sled serviced for general servicing after the season, many issues were found. We ended up having to pay for another engine rebuild. The crank was never replaced during the first engine rebuild, so, the new parts that were put into the sled had to almost all be replaced, plus a new crank had to be put into it. Our total for the new engine rebuild $2187.62.Desired Settlement: We feel that since the job was not completely done to the best it could be, and since we had issues from the very beginning after having the engine rebuilt by RT&T, we in turn had to pay out of pocket for another engine rebuild. This could've been avoided had the repairs been come completely to begin with. We feel that it is fair that they refund what we paid to them to rebuild an engine that couldn't hold up for even 1 season.

Review: I bought my bike thursday 4/30/15 and on Saturday 5/2/15 I was stranded on the side of the road because of a chain problem... they told me they inspected the chain and said that it was fine, which is not the case because after they inspected it I only put about 150 miles on the bike and the chain failed and took out the waterpump and clutch housing and [redacted], the [redacted] told me it needed a new motor. But when I called on Saturday 5/2/15 and had them come pick me up they told me on the phone that it would be covered because of it being a mechanical failure and only being 2 days since I owned it.Desired Settlement: I want them to cover the cost of everything because of only being 2 days old. there is no reason that after 2 days they will not cover the cost, espcially when on the phone they told me it would be covered no questions asked, and after they looked at the bike and found out what was wrong with it they won't fix it.

Review: I purchased a motorcycle from Road Track and Trail online, and also paid to have it shipped to the [redacted] area. I was told to expect delivery on or around 7-19, or 14 days after they recieved payment, and all paperwork was completed.I did recieve the title to the bike, but as of today 7-19, no bike, and no word about a delivery date. Come this Wed 7-24 they will have had my payment in full for 3 weeks. All I get is excuses and the run around from the dealer, and I am getting PO'd!Desired Settlement: I want delivery of what I have PAID FOR, or my $4300 returned no later than 7-26-13

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Once they realized that I was dissatisfied with the shipping arrangements, they have gone out of their way to try to resolve the issue, and my motorcycle was recieved today, 7-26-13. They have even offered a $200 refund on the shipping, because of the late delivery.

I would appreciate it if you would close this complaint, and not post it for public viewing. This business has an excellent reputation, and I do not want this complaint to change that

Regards,
