Roadway Towing Recovery & Transportation

Roadway Towing towed my car as it was parked in a place it shouldn't have been parked, but I am not disputing this. I am disputing the fact that the company would not let me retrieve my car without a physical copy of my registration. It was a Saturday, and the DMV was not open for the weekend, so getting a copy of my registration wasn't possible until Monday. Of course, Roadway was more than happy to keep possession of my car for an extra three days and charge me for every day. These are scammy business practices and an illegal impounding of my vehicle for those three days.

Additionally, upon finding two tickets from Miami PD (not under dispute), there was an additional fee on my billing statement...for what? I already received and paid the Miami tickets, but Roadway wanted to just get another chance to slap another fee on.

This towing company towed my car that was parked correctly, when asked who called in the towing request they said the security officer / valet in my rental complex in City Place Doral, when the security and valet called them to inquire who called in the request they gave an employees name who was no longer an employee for over 1 week. It is evident they took it upon themselves to tow my vehicle to make money. I asked them for the signed receipt of who called in the towing and they refused to give it to me, I even called the authorities but they still refused to provide the information. That was the only way the valet was going to refund my fee of 121.00 if they could validate their employee made a mistake. When I asked the rep of the towing company for his name he did not provide it. Then after asking again when the law authorities were there he said Roberto F which I even doubt that is his name .
