The pump was working fine at my shop I could not refund the labor charges but I did offer to refund parts if you returned the new parts I installed

Mr. [redacted] brought his pool pump & motor in for repair, he did not ask for a estimate.  When our customers bring pumps in we always go thur them completely unless they ask us to only do something specific. Mr. [redacted] did not say that.  After disassembling the pump we found the bearing...

was noisy, the capacitor was weak, and anytime you take the pump end off the motor you have to replace the shaft seal or it will leak water and do major damage.
After speeking to Mr. [redacted] he wanted an adjustment, I told him I would put his old parts back in and give him credit for the parts we used. I was serious, not being a smart mouth.

In responds to your letter dated 7-21-14 I would like to thank you for trying to help me.  I am not happy with the way Roanoke Armature Co., Inc. did me.  They can try to make it sound like they did right but I can tell you that they did not do or conduct business the way they said they did.  They were rude on the phone and lied about fixing my motor.  So at this point I know what kind of company I was dealing with and know not to go back there any more.
At this point I do accept the outcome of this complaint because when you are dealing with a liar and a cheat you are wasting your time to go on with it.
Thank you,
[redacted]

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
In response to the letter from Roanoke Armature Co., Inc. I did ask if they had any ideal what it may cost to fix.  I was told until it was checked, they did not know.
As for being after a refund on parts used, that never happen.  The only refund I was offered was to bring my pump back to them and they would put my old parts back in and that would be any adjustment I would get.
Also I was spoke to with a smart mouth.
If this is the way they do business, I can eccept that.
Thank you for trying to help.

Review: I took a motor in that would not run. When I got it back it still would not run. I found I had a bad ground in my wiring under my house. I made the repair and the motor started running. I tried to call as soon as I hooked it up, but got no answer. When I got to talk to Johnny he was smart mouth and said they fixed the motor. I told him what I found, he asked what was he to do the motor was fixed. I told him I could not see where he fixed it. I asked for an adjustment on the labor. He told me he would put old parts back in and that would be my adjustment.Desired Settlement: I do not know what work he may have did, but he did not fix anything. I would like to have an adjustment made on the labor. I do not know what parts he may have used. But I do know he did not fix it.
