Roanoke Range and Training Reviews (7)

July 14, I am writing to post a customer review of Dave Dennis Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership located at Colonel Glenn Highway, Dayton, Ohio On Saturday, May 31, 2014, I began by speaking with the salesperson who was attempting to locate a Jeep Grand Cherokee in the Limited trim that would meet my needs When he was unable to do this, I was asked if I would consider the next higher trim level (the Overland.) I was told several of those vehicles were available, had the features I wanted, and would be easier to obtain I agreed to consider the higher trim level, as long as the price was right, as the Limited was at the price point I wanted After reviewing an e-mail with the window sticker of a located Overland, I made an offer on the vehicle and for my trade-in After discussing with the sales manager, the salesperson told me the dealership â couldnâ t doâ that deal I then asked for the best deal they could do After, again, discussing with the sales manager, the salesperson countered with an offer of $42,for the price of the vehicle and $15,for my trade-in I read the numbers back to the salesperson, who confirmed themWe decided the deal was acceptable, and I called the salesperson back, leaving a voicemail stating the numbers again and saying as long as the vehicle passed our inspection, we had a deal The salesperson called me back shortly after During this phone call, I expressly stated the numbers of the deal, confirmed they were for the Overland model we had been discussing, and agreed to the terms After a few more phone calls, it was established that my wife and I would sign the paperwork and take delivery of the vehicle that afternoon Upon arrival at the dealership, my wife and I test drove the vehicle, found it to be in acceptable condition, and sat down with the salesperson to begin the paperwork A credit check was performed and I told the salesperson we were planning on financing the vehicle in my name, and were unlikely to add any additional down payment beyond the trade-in Shortly afterward, we met the finance officer and sat down to finalize the paperwork After signing a form to guarantee I would carry insurance on the vehicle, the finance officer began to discuss monthly payments without discussing length of the loan or interest rates I then asked to see the price of the vehicle and the trade-in The finance officer showed me his computer screen, and the price of the vehicle had increased to $44, I stated the price was not correct, at which time the finance officer excused himself to discuss the situation with the sales manager He returned with the salesperson in tow to say that the higher price was the price of the vehicle and the salesperson apologized several times saying that perhaps he had read to us a price for a Limited model that was also on his desk When told this was unacceptable and that we had a verbal agreement for the lower price, a second consult with the sales manager resulted in an offer of $44, My wife and I decided to discuss the matter with the sales manager directly When we spoke with the sales manager and told him they story from our perspective, we were told the salesperson didnâ t remember giving us the lower price and that my wife and I should have realized that the agreed upon price was far too low The inference was that my wife and I were attempting to â pull a fast oneâ or get away with something When I questioned how the salesperson could not remember the lower price when I had confirmed it on three separate phone calls and a voice mail, I was told there was no way the phone calls could have been recorded and that the voice mail no longer existed Also, the paperwork on the Limited model the salesperson supposedly read to me in error was missing and could not be found At this time, my wife stated the situation seemed unethical, prompting the sales manager to accuse me of trying to make up an agreement I then told the sales manager I would not tolerate such accusations for simply wanting to receive the deal the salesperson had agreed to and started to walk out The sales manager then threw his hands up in disgust/frustration and asked what I wanted I repeated that I expected the deal to which I had agreed, and was told a â bare bonesâ final offer of $43,was the best they could do My wife and I decided this was acceptable so that we wouldnâ t have to start this nightmare process over again somewhere else Back in the finance officerâ s office, we were told that the final price the sales manager had offered was only the price if we agreed to finance the vehicle for months at 2.5% interest I explained we were expecting the Chrysler incentive of 0% for months The finance officer feigned that he didnâ t know if that was a current incentive, but when I offered to show it to him on Chryslerâ s website, he remembered that the incentive did exist, but insisted the sales manager had instructed him to only do the deal if the â APR stayed in the twos.â When my wife and I balked at this, and offered to purchase the vehicle outright, without financing, for the final price, we were denied The finance officer then shook his head and told us he â wasnâ t getting anywhereâ with us and walked out He came back a short time later to say, essentially, take it or leave it, at which time my wife and I left having wasted close to hours negotiating with, being lied to, and being mistreated by the team at Dave Dennis My hope is that this situation will be addressed so that no other unwitting consumers simply trying to purchase a vehicle will have a similar negative experience Thank you for your consideration

Great customer service! Jacob *** is an asset! Friendly and helpful staff; kept me informed of every detail-professional & reliable!

My experience with Dave Dennis Chrystler Jeep Dodge Ram was fantastic in every possible sense of the word. Kevin was diligent and down right tenacious when it came to vehicle location and trading with other dealerships to ensure that the specific Jeep I wanted (Hydro Blue Willy's 24W w/premium sound) was made available to me locally. Kevin was extremely patient going over financing options, tracking down the lowest rates, explaining the pros and cons of buying over leasing, and more impressively came in on his day off to ensure that he assisted me personally. Getting this JKU was more for me about the realization of a dream I have had since I lost my 'Scrambler may she rest in peace; and Kevin made that happen against tough odds even over trading a Rubicon for my baby.  The staff at Dave Dennis are professional, knowledgable, and more accommodating than any other dealer I have ever had the pleasure or lack there of dealing with.  When I pulled away in my new Jeep not only had I gotten exactly what I wanted for the best price possible; but I had also made a couple new friends in the process.  As long as I live in Dayton and drive a vehicle that they sell I will never deal with any one else. The only negative that I can mention is that this website limits reviews to stars or less

I had my car at another dealership times and was sent out both times with brakes that would barely stop my carI drove about miles to Dave Dennis Jeep, They fixed the car correctly the first time, but what prompted me to write a review is that they listened to what I was saying, and treated me with respect and courtesy, They explained all my options and were very fair

We have to give Dave Dennis 10 Stars out of 4. We purchased a 3 yr old Jeep at the end of May. In the first few weeks, we noticed that the brakes pulsated and we had an occurance that we thought the car would not stop, even with the pedal engaged as much as possible.

We took the Jeep to Dave Dennis service the first weekend of August to check out the brake issue. They discovered that the brakes indeed were in extremely poor condition, including warped rotors and extensive rust. The dealership took care of everything without any pushback to us. The repairs were over $750 and they covered every penny! Considering that we had the Jeep for 2 months before the problem was discovered, I was more than surprised that the dealership stepped up to the plate and made things good.

We can not express our graditude to Dave Dennis and our loyality to the dealership is rock solid.

When we spoke with the sales manager and told him they story from our perspective, we were told the salesperson didn’t remember giving us the lower price and that my wife and I should have realized that the agreed upon price was far too low. The inference was that my wife and I were attempting to “pull a fast one” or get away with something. Back in the finance officer’s office, we were told that the final price the sales manager had offered was only the price if we agreed to finance the vehicle for 72 months at 2.5% interest. I explained we were expecting the Chrysler incentive of 0% for 36 months. The finance officer feigned that he didn’t know if that was a current incentive, but when I offered to show it to him on Chrysler’s website, he remembered that the incentive did exist, but insisted the sales manager had instructed him to only do the deal if the “APR stayed in the twos.” When my wife and I balked at this, and offered to purchase the vehicle outright, without financing, for the final price, we were denied. He came back a short time later to say, essentially, take it or leave it, at which time my wife and I left having wasted close to 7 hours negotiating with, being lied to, and being mistreated by the team at Dave Dennis.
My hope is that this situation will be addressed so that no other unwitting consumers simply trying to purchase a vehicle will have a similar negative experience. Thank you for your consideration.

Brought my 2006 Dodge Charger in for repairs due to it running hot. They called and informed me that they found the issues and it was going to cost $1800. When I came to pick up the car it began to run hot, dealership was closed. Had the car towed back only for them to call to tell me it was my gaskets, which I stated I thought was wrong with it in the beginning and they wanted to charge me another $1800. They ripped me off! There is no way they test drive my vehicle and it did not run hot. They took advantage of a woman coming in here paying cash, didn't offer any money off or anything. Also all the work they did I have receipts for that was done within a months time before they received the car. Do not use this dealership horrible service!
