I am rejecting this response because: Business quoted me $for initial exam and it was well over that The procedure I was not quoted for removal of skin item and I will pay that even though it seemed high Unethical business provider

When giving an estimate of cost to patients, it is exactly that, an estimate. As employees we can only give a range of cost that a patient might incur. Patient was charged for services performed. No adjustment will be made in his bill. If this patient had been coming back for a follow up treatment where the doctor knew exactly what was going to be performed we then could give the patient a more detailed cost of what he/she would expect to pay. This was a first time patient

estimate on an office visit at our clinic which he was quoted the range of cost. Patient was told that any kind of treatment would be an additional cost and that varied. Patient was charged for an office visit and one treatment. Patient called stating that he didn’t expect his bill to be that much. Patient was told any reduction in cost would have to be okayed by the attending doctor. No record of follow up in his chart as of yet. The clinic is a part time practice with the doctors being staffed in the [redacted] area most of the time. Follow up can take some time.
