Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The other issues in my complaint have not been addressed and I am still not satisfied with the answerMy insurance company would have paid the extra for the metal roof had they received a new estimateThere are holes and gaps still in the old woodIt's not secure and it should have been replacedAny roofer could have seen this was a hazard putting a new roof on top of old work out wood slatsA lot of the slats are now gone and the roof has waves in itThe roof is not sealed around the chimney or the edges and had huge gaps where birds and bees get inThis was brought up to the owner who sent out the theif to try and fix some of the damageIt was never fixedAlso, there is still damage to my wooden gate, hard hats that were stolen and then returned, siding, rose bush, and I am still finding shingles and roofing nails around my yard and in my ac unitI was told by Restoremasters I would be compensated and then they cut off contactI also filed a complaint against them, but that complaint was dropped and I was told it would be taken care of in this complaint Sincerely, [redacted]
Insurance only pays for the equivalent roof that is being replaced They would not have paid for a metal roof since you only had a shingle roof If a homeowner upgrades to a metal roof they have to pay the difference Again you would have had to pay for the plywood yourself, and I wouldn't have recommended that because it would have been a waste of money since it is not requirer or needed If there are waves in the roof it is a truss issue not a sheeting issue and you can fix that by supports for the trusses in the attic Again if there is a leak or something has come away from the chimney we will come out and fix it for free As for all the other issues I was under the understanding that they were resolved in order to receive our final payment a year and a half ago and this complaint is the first I have heard of these being unresolved What do you suggest as a resonable resolution for that part of your complaint?
When I first gave the bid to the ***s I gave them the option to install a new 30yrshingle roof which requires plywood over the existing framing I gave them the option to upgrade the roof to a metal roof for the same price as a shingle roof since metal can go over the gap sheeting that
the existing shake roof was installed over She agreed to this plan since she would get a roof that will probably last 60+ years for the price of a yr roof for the same price I would have done the same thing They could only afford the metal roof by saving the money the insurance company would have spent on the plywood for a shingle roof All other complaints were resolved at the time we installed the roof, since installation questions, clean up, and misplaced hard hat issues were required by the home owner to be resolved in order to receive final payment All parties involved had come to a satisfactory resolution of those issues in The satellite dish reinstallation was not included in the roof replacement.Any leaks or installation issues are covered by the installation warranty, and would be resolved by Rob Parkinson Roofing LLC free of charge We have not been contacted by the home owner for any issues resulting from the installation of the roof If there are any leaks we are more than willing to fix them
