Review: I bought a ** french door fridge, new, from there store and as soon as I got it, I realized there was something wrong with it. I called the store immediately and they balked at making a refund so I called ** and they were not much help. I called the store again and they said they would not refund but would swap it out for another new one and I would pay the difference. I said ok. After that I heard from ** and they said that there was an issue with the model I bought and they would help but I said sure but I was not comfortable sticking with a defective unit. I figured I bought the fridge a week ago and the store should swap it out. They then reluctantly agreed but wanted me to hear from ** first. I spoke to ** and they said a part may be able to be changed and it could help. They came and it did not help. I told the store that ** was at my home and they needed to put a hold on the new unit to give ** the chance to fix it. When ** was unable to fix it, I called the store back to help me. I then called the store and they did not honor the switch. They said that I cancelled the switch too many times but I was just doing what they told me. They said to try contacting the manufacturer. I was happy to take their advise but when ** was unable to help me, I wanted the store to step up and help me.They said its been too much time back and forth but I offered to pay the difference and any costs associated with their trouble but they did not help me. They told me to stick with ** and they would help me. That's not acceptable to me. Had I owned the fridge for some time, okay, I would deal with the manufacturer but because I JUST bought it, the store should help me. The store, as it stands, has no stated return policy, but had I known they would be this obtuse, I would not have bought it there. I would have gone to a big box store but I like buying from local independent stores. I feel that its supporting my local community.Desired Settlement: I payed $1399 plus tax plus an extended warranty. I would like a refund or a replacement with a new fridge of my choice and I would pay the difference.
