Robert B. Our Company, Inc. Reviews (1)
On September 4, 2012, at 9:45 am, I was driving westbound on Route 6 on Cape Cod between exits 9 and 8. As I started to pull into the passing lane to pass a loaded Robert B. Our gravel truck, a stone fell out of the truck and struck my windshield, leaving a ding, which traveled to about a 2' crack. When I got off the road, I called the company to complain. I spoke to Ms. --, who asked me to communicate the details to her so that they could turn it over to their insurance carrier for compensation. On September 6 I heard from [redacted] Insurance Company and was told that Our couldn't identify the specific truck and unless I could provide the truck's license plate number, which I didn't get, they wouldn't further the investigation. It is beyond the pale that a professional company doesn't have a log to identify the location of their trucks. This seems to be a complete dodge of their responsibility. Since this is a safety issue for driving my car, I am filing a claim on my car insurance policy to get the repair done, but it is absolutely unethical, if not untruthful, of Our to claim that they can't identify the truck. (To add insult to injury, the driver tossed a cigarette butt out the window as I passed him).
