Contractor allowed short cuts resulting in severe damages to the structural integrity of my house.
Flashing was either improperly installed or in some cases not installed at all.
The house construction was completed in June 2005. All flashing was properly installed and the structure was built to *** State Code. All inspections were completed and certificate of occupancy was issued.We were notified in October 2018 about the flashing complaint and responded immediately. When we arrived onsite we found that another Contractor had torn apart the area of damage. It compromised our inspection and was covered over. At that time, we determined that it was a chemincal reaction between the ACQ pressure treated lumber and the metal flashing that caused the flashing failure. We advised the homeowner to contact her homeowners insurance company. Since then they contacted our Liability Insurance Company which denied the claim. We admit no fault or workmanship error.
