business and are as disappointed as they are with any issues that developed
With the purchase of any used vehicle there is the risk to
buyer and seller for
anything that appears after the saleThat is why some
choose to purchase a new carOthers that are frugal look to purchase a vehicle
that fits their needs and fit within a budget set by them and personal
situationIt is always a balance between available budget, needs and want
We at Robert Brogden match that balance with many of our
customers by providing that vehicle. The
term we use is a “Budget Car”. There is
no negative inference meant by the term “Budget”It is representative to
offering a vehicle at a savingsWe at Robert Brogden do our best to provide a
safe and
economical car that meets a customer’s needsWe inspect every car for all
safety related concerns and repair each as is required and necessary. Other items that might be considered not
detrimental to the safe operation or functionality of a vehicle is left to the
purchaser to determine if adding cost to the vehicle purchase tips the balance
of their needs and budget. If any
improvement to the vehicle is asked for, the consumer is given the option to
spend the extra moneyThis can include items that are safety related such as
tiresTires must pass tread depth and condition requirementsThis doesn’t
mean that certain wear patterns that might cause tire noise but have no bearing
on the safe operation of a vehicle require the tires to be replaced
With any used car, we all take a chance of something going
wrongWe appreciate Mrs*** and ***’sunderstanding that. We both strive and hope to offer as
reasonably as possible, a car that provides our customers with a minimum of
issuesUnfortunately a battery, a thermostat, an engine light or any of a
multitude of items can unforeseeably fail at any time on any vehicleWe also
can understand any frustration when something goes wrong, especially when there
are miles involved to and from the dealership.
When we want resolution, we want it immediately. Distance, personnel availability and parts
availability, are all factors that can add fuel to a fire
At the time of purchase, Mrs*** and *** were
concerned with a noise that came from under the car and loose bolts on the
front passenger doorWith the customer’s approval, the bolts were tightened
and we removed a broken plastic underbody shield that was the cause of the
noise under the car
After the purchase of the Mazda our customers came in and
asked us to repair their turn signal and power window switchIn good faith, we
offered to split the cost of the repairOur General Manager *** ***, upon
hearing of our customer’s concern, clearly understood that the turn signal,
being a safety related item, was our responsibility and we absorbed the $
to repair itWe shared 50/in the repair of the power window switch that
controlled a rear window. Due to a parts
issue, our customers had to make an extra trip.
We reimbursed them $for gas and the inconvenience
We are as disappointed as Mrs*** and *** are that
they have had some issues with their carWe have provided them with a nice
$Budget Value vehicle at a nice savings compared to a similar Mazdathat
has a Dealer retail price of $- $Selling at that price would have
allowed for a full set of brand new tires, battery and power window
switch. We apologize for any
inconveniences and difficulties in the repair of the Mazdaand any perceived short
comings to the expectations of Mrs*** and ***. With this said we at Robert Brogden continuously strive for completely satisfied customers so therefore would like to offer Mrs*** and *** the $they seek, just need to know who to make the check out to.*** ***General Manager
