Robert Crist and Company RV Reviews (3)

Attached is a letter we wrote to Mr. [redacted] as a response to the complaint letter he sent us. This attached letter summarizes our position in this matter. Mr. [redacted] makes many allegations as well as, he creates conversations that may or may not have happened. The bottom line is he purchased a used...

2005 motor home. He also purchased a service contract that will cover most (if not all) of the repairs needed during the term of the agreement. Mr. [redacted] needs to accept ownership of this motor home. Should you have any additional questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.[redacted] & Company RV

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Attached is my letter to the Dealership.  Their position that is used is not an acceptable response for covering up and misleading me to the condition of the coach and its systems.  I had failures the day I picked it up, after the PDI and after my walk through with their master mechanic clearly and confidently pointing out that each system was functional.  I have 27 failures that required repair immediately, there is zero possibility these items were generated on my 8hr drive home.  They existed before I left the lot and were not covered up and not disclosed.  Yet on my test drive the AC failed, the VORAD failed and the night I took it off the lot the batteries failed.  I did thankfully buy a service contact however [redacted] and [redacted] both said that RCRV would cover any out of pocket expenses related to the repairs I brought to their attention.  I have spent over $7,000.00 on repairs and deductibles and the service contract company has I'm sure spent more than $15,000.00 on items that were not functional upon purchase.  I am accepting that its a used unit, but I demand to be paid for expenses related to systems I was told were 100% functional that they lied and mislead me about.  I take ownership of a used unit, RCRV needs to take ownership of what they told me when I purchased the unit and own up to the lies and deception of the sale.  I simply want the systems I were told were working and to be reimbursed for costs a result of this unit not being road ready for a full timer or anyone for that matter.  I am not going away until this matter is resolved properly.Regards,

Our position has not changed. Attached is a copy of Mr. [redacted]'s purchase agreement, which bears his signature, that we provided a 90 day service contract and that there was nothing else promised. Mr. [redacted] is making allegations regarding conversations with [redacted] and [redacted] that are not factual. There is no way a 2005 motor home is going to function as a new coach. We did not provide any warranty with the sale of this coach.
