Robert E. Hill Management Reviews (3)

Please be advised that this is in response to the above captioned complaint number. [redacted] was applying to sublet a co-op unit and his application was initially submitted by a broker. It was incomplete and I emailed the broker explaining such. The remaining items were eventually sent to me which I passed along to the Board. Upon reviewing the application the Board requested additional documents (i.e. his income did not match what he claimed on the application, as well as additional reference letter and landlord letter). These items are all on the application and nothing unusual was requested. [redacted] called me and told me that he was fed up with the process and would not be submitting the additional documents. I explained to him that a co-op is run very differently than a rental property. The fees he submitted are non-refundable which he acknowledged by signing the application which clearly states such.

When I stated a applied it was for a one bedroom apartment in one of there co-op buildings. I filled the application out and paid $400 I am still in the process locating the receipt so I can send as an attachment but this is the last day to submit my clarification response. I would like to be issued...

my refund so my family and I can take our money and apply for another apartment building.

Review: I applied for Robert E. Hill December **, 2013 I never heard from the company unless I contacted them or my agent did. They seemed trust worthy answering my questions and responding very quick but as soon as I submitted the application fee which was $400 they seemed to disappear. I made several attempts to call and all they could provide me with was they will get back to me. I am an accountant with a 750+ credit score and 50k+ salary which was more then the desired amount which [redacted] informed me. I then spoke to the managing agent [redacted] who further instructed me that even though the board has all of my information needed but still could not give me a direct answer of why I never heard from them and you cannot get a refund, which was March [redacted] 2014. I explained how no services were performed or attempts to contact me on there part and I also explained how my son and I needed to move urgently. It was important to me to move out but they both showed no sympathy or respect for me or my family.Desired Settlement: Please refund my money of $400 since there was no action performed on behalf of the management company
