My patient [redacted] and her little infant baby came to my office for a yearly routine office visit on 2-23-2015. She has been my patient for 16 years. She wears glasses and contact lenses, she had 2 insurances. She said she wanted to use one insurance for exam...

and contact lenses and the other insurance for new frame and lenses especially because her previous frame was purchased at my office in 2005 making the frame 10 years old, so she wanted a new one. Review: I came here and got an eye exam and was told that prescription had changed. I ordered new glasses and after wearing them for a few days my eyes never adjusted to them and I couldn't see. I took them back and had a second eye exam. Dr. F[redacted] told me that he made them too powerful and was going to have them put back to my last prescription. After thinking on the ride home, I realized that meant I would now have two pairs of glasses with the same prescription, my current ones and the ones I just ordered. I called them when I got home and asked if I could return them. I explained to them that I only bought new glasses because I was told my prescription had changed and that I didn't need two pair. They told me they had never had this issue before and that they wouldn't do anything with my glasses and the manager would call me on the following Tuesday. One day when I came home from work I was told that the eye doctor had called and said that my eye glasses were in and that they could not return them. This upset me because they had spoken to my father, and I am over 18, and also because I had never gotten a call from the manager. I called back and asked why and they said its because my perception had changed and that they had already remade the lenses. I got my glasses again, brought them home and realized I still couldn't see. I took them back and they said it was the glare and that they would have it fixed. When I was there I had asked if they needed my insurance info or if I owed anything, they told me no and that it was not a visit. Also I asked them what my prescription was and they said that it was the same as my previous prescription. After arguing and becoming more confused, I went home. A few weeks later I received a bill in the mail for 30$ from that appointment. They have now called and said that my glasses are back in but I have not picked them up because I have been looking into how to file this complaint. I want this resolved and I do not plan to return to Dr. F[redacted]'s office.Desired Settlement: I feel that they made the mistake of getting my prescription wrong and I should be able to return my glasses. I would have never bought them in the first place if I had been told the first visit that my prescription did not change.
