We are currently in communication with consumer. We have agreed to a payment plan. Consumer will be refunded complete deposit amount at the end of the payments.

Review: On September 20, 2012 I made contract with Robert Griffith to make cabinets for my kitchen. He was supposed to deliver the cabinets on last October 2012. Since then too many times I called him, I gone to his shop, he just kept deceiving me. Not making cabinets, not paying my money back. I am very worn out, exhausted and hopeless.Desired Settlement: I wanted him pay my money back. He is a chronic liar and dishonest man. It has been past 14 months, no cabinets nor money paid back to me.

Customers cabinets have been built. Also a group of cabinets were build ahead of time to aid [redacted] and her Associates in visualizing the look. Many changes have taken place regarding paint color, cabinet configuration, Moldings custom build appliances sizes changing, four different door styles custom built to exact specifications (only to be told that's perfect, but can you build me this other one). A file full of over 28 different cabinet pictures Most very different from one another. This customer has had extreme extreme difficultly in-visioning her specific look and has had difficulty making decisions. This has gone on for over 8 months. I have had a very difficult time with this customer. (lives in San Jose and building home in Cameron Park for her Aunt who lives in Dubai. After 37 years of custom built cabinets and the level of disappointment I feel when a customer is not satisfied, I have to accept I can not please everyone. This has been the first time I was asked to release this customer from contract and return her material deposit. I will contact her, release her from contract and return her deposit in full.

I would like to express my appreciation for your fantastic diligent effort in regards to the [redacted] case. As I wrote before, he is an unbelievable liar. He has no shame of lying. There have not been any cabinets built. If any cabinet was built ahead of time why and wherefore did he not bring them to me. If he had done this lie, he would have collected the rest of his fee. I have not seen any cabinets for visualizing.
On September 20, 2012, my architect who is very educated engineer, had done the design and scheme. We handed them to [redacted] with some pictures of acanthus inlay, corbel, crown molding and cabinet door samples. The architect had advised what to do to [redacted] with all details. He is a hypocritical person. Nothing has been built, therefore nothing to change in regards to paint color, cabinet configuration, molding, appliance sizes, etc... In his response he said he would contact me and return my deposit in full. He has yet to contact me. I have tried to get a hold of him as well. I went to his shop on the corner of Folsom and Power Inn last year and the shop was closed and empty. In my panic I saw a girl at the shop talking on the phone and I asked her where is the cabinet maker. She said to talk to her father, the owner who was on the phone. I asked about [redacted] and he said he is a rascal. "He did not pay my rent for awhile so I finally kicked him out." When I told him my situation, he said I am sorry for you. I have doubts he is going to ever make cabinets or pay your money back. He did not know where he had moved to. I had previously met another man in the shop by the name of [redacted] who had given me his business card. I called him and explained my case. He said he is an unfaithful person. He said he worked for [redacted] and [redacted] did not pay his wages. He said [redacted] still owes him money. [redacted] said, "I don't think [redacted] is ever going to make the cabinets for you." After 2 to 3 months calling him everyday, he finally answered. I got his shop address on Gold River, Suite R. Every time I drove up from San Jose to his shop, it was always closed. Just recently I spoke to the next door shop owner named [redacted]. He told me [redacted] is a swindler. He said he worked for him for 3 weeks and did not get paid. He still owes him also.
I am pleading to get my money back from [redacted]. He has not performed any part of the contract I made with him. Please have him send the cash to you. I have no trust in him. I will get the monies from you. Ask him to see the cabinets he has supposedly made for me. I sure they do not exist!

I have agreed to a full refund and will recycle her cabinetry, and allow her to void her contract. Pictures of her cabinetry have be taken and she has pleaded with me to not stop the process of delivery. I wish on the best for this customer.

Review: Agreed to contract for custom cabinet construction for our laundry room on April 20, 2013. They were to be completed to the point of staining a week later. We received no communication from him indicating that the deadline would not be met. When the deadline arrived I contacted him to inquire as to the status of the job. I was told he was busy and had to spend time with his wife so he was behind. Another 2 weeks go by. His voicemail indicated that his telephone didnt work and to leave a message. He returned my call the following day. Now, according to him the work was not completed because of an illness. Another 2 weeks went by and I went to his shop. He was not there. I spoke to him via phone and he was at home. I was told he was busy and the cabinets were mostly built so give him 2-3 more days. This was close to 2 weeks ago. It is now June 3. Have received no communication from him indicating the work is completed or close to. We initially selected him as our builder because he said he had a client cancel leaving him with a week to fill - we wanted our job done quickly.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

His last statement to the Revdex.com was that we spoke and agreed for him to sell the cabinets that have never been finished on craigslist which was never an agreement. I looked on craigslist multiple times and never saw these cabinets for sale, so until last week I texted [redacted] about not being able to find these cabinets for sale and he said you need to type in his phone # on craigslist and look under granite counters, which I did and found the cabinets which have never been completed as the pictures show, he will never sell these cabinets especially when he never even posted them under cabinets for sale. We are still insisting on a full refund.

Customer requested deposit back. I agreed to the refund, customer knows his cabinets where built and informed him upon the sale of his custom built cabinets his refund will be forwarded. As of this date Pictures have be posted on the internet and Craigslist. I have had several offers for the finely built cabinets and I am currently negotiating the best offer. I believe the customer understands selling custom cabinets built to others specifications is a difficult and time consuming process. I also believe, the customer understands the dilemma I am dealing with by allowing him to escape his contractual agreement for custom cabinets.
Review: just like a lot of the complaints reviewed here, we have approx 1/3 of our cabinets installed and this is over 5yrs old. the 1/3 only came after numerous calls,visits,etc and the quality is subpar.we paid in full to start..we stil have an incomplete kitchen. builder was taken to small claims in placer county and he asked judge for a chance to perform and signed a performance clause,based on that he would owe us more than the 10k limit imposed by small claims. place value of what he did for what he charged to be 1500.00Desired Settlement: make reimbursement of 4500.00

Paid down payment of 6K with the agreement of giving up my Harley Road King as payment in full once job was completed. [redacted] said cabinets would be made between other full paying customers, but completion should be done by years end. Many empty promises later we agreed to go our separate ways January 2014. He said for sure our down payment money will be returned by April 2014. Well that is why I am issuing a complaint. Many more empty promises and still no repayment as of June 2014. Review: I hired [redacted] to build, and have installed kitchen cabinets with granite counter tops, family room cabinet and entertainment center in early July 2014. The job was supposed to be completed and installed by Sept 2nd, it is now Dec 11th and the job is still not done. The initial quality of the cabinets was okay, but as Mr. [redacted] began to take on more jobs than he could complete the excuses for why my job wasn't getting finished began rolling in. I stopped by his shop several times only to see other cabinets being built and more excuses for why mine weren't done. I believe he survives on collecting deposits on jobs and then struggles to finish them. As the delays came in, so began the decline in the quality of his work. The drawers he installed (without fronts) were crooked and not square. The self-closing rails didn't work and he continued to deliver damaged or unfinished work attempting to have me accept that craftsmanship. I turned away the poorly made and painted material only to find out he had started yet more jobs since taking my money. He also asked for additional funds on 3 occasions after taking a 50% deposit on the work. I later found out that he is unlicensed to do cabinet remodels and is operating outside the law. I also uncovered that he was caught and fined during a sting operation in Sacramento conducted by the California State License Board (CSLB) in 2010 for contracting without a license. His contractors license (No. [redacted]) expired 2/28/91 according to the CSLB website. Safe to say, we spent Thanksgiving without a kitchen and looks like Christmas too.Desired Settlement: [redacted] has collected $8500.00 on this job so far, and I believe I have only received about $4500 in materials and product. I would like a refund of $4000 from [redacted] Cabinets at a minimum.
Review: We signed a contract on 7-21-14 for him to build and install kitchen cabinets . Contract states that cabinets are to be done and installed by 8-11-14 .I called him and he told me to demo my kitchen and get ready for installation on 8-11-14 , I told you about my medical condition and my need to have kitchen completed on said date . I have been without use of my kitchen since 8-7-14 because he said you would be ready for installation . Since 8-11-14 he has promised me my cabinets on following dates , 8-12 / 8-17 / 8 -19 / 8-21 / 8-25 / 8-27 , I gave him until 9-5-14 ( FRIDAY ) at 12:00 TO COMPLETE ANY AND ALL WORK , installations , adjustments , corrections , NO MORE EXCESSES OR STORIES . He installed part of cabinets on 8-28-14 but I still can't use my kitchen . Numerous mistakes with right size and quality of workmanship and installation . Review: Robert Griffith was hired to install/modify cabinets in my home. He completed half of the work and stated he needed the rest of the money for the work to pay his rent. So I paid him in advance and surprise, he never finished the work. I've been in contact with him and patient. Then he agreed to refund the money for the work not completed ( $600 ). No refund was given. Conclusion is he was paid in full for work he did not complete. I need my money back so I can hire someone to finish what he couldn't. He has since moved his shop twice since I started this job and don't know his current location but it is different than the address posted on this site.
