This complaint has been satisfactorily resolved with consumer. It is very unfortunate that [redacted] did not appreciate all the services and design work done by our company on his behalf. There was an entire design team of three designers who worked on his project over the course of three months....

The team made many presentations, conducted site visits to their residence, selected specific materials, fabrics and furnishings. The client appeared very pleased with our work. Shortly after the last presentation the client then began to shop everything we had recommended on the internet and through other distributors to see if they could save money beyond the 30% discounts we had offered for all products. He later came back and said he was disappointed in our service and requested that we refund him two thirds of his design fee. [redacted] Legere Design has served over 500 clients in the last eight years and has never received such a complaint or request for a design fee refund. To the contrary, [redacted] Legere Design has 45 five star reviews on [redacted] from very satisfied design clients in the last three years. It is truly unfortunate that this particular client did not value our services. However, we did reach an amicable agreement and refunded the client the amount he requested.

Review: I hired them and paid a fee for not only designing services but to obtain discounted prices up to 30-40% off furniture. I was promised that their prices were competitive and the large fee $4000 would give me discounts even greater the When it came time to order furniture and lighting fixtures the prices were 30-40% greater and sometimes even greater than the average person could obtain. I only needed to call 1-2 dealers in state and or/out of state for prices > 30% lower than prices offered to me. When I tried to discuss this with them they took over a month to get back to me. when they did via email they basically didnt care. It was as if they spent the month trying to prepare a defense rather then trying to remedy the situation and come to an agreement. They logged email correspondence, rather than printing them out showing that We did all the contacting and asking and they were not at all proactive in helping us design our home. I called to further discuss over the phone with Steven T[redacted] and Robert L[redacted] When I inquired why they would not reimburse my fee at a prorated rate ($4000 fee for 3 rooms and foyer - only one room completed) Mr T[redacted] went on to call me a "disgusting customer " for checking prices. I pleaded for them to work something out as I felt very taken advantage of in this business transaction and that they should come up with a remedy for their dishonest representation. The answer I was given was tough luck I am a $1.8 million dollar co and have a $3mill dollar showroom and a very good attorney, go waste more of your $.??

I have never been spoke to in such a derogatory and unprofessional manner. More importantly the contract clearly stated that all design phase would be done within 3-4 wks of a signed contract which we had on 9/24/15. As of Late november only one room was near but not complete. They are now taking advantage of the consumer even more by forcing me to waste time and more money to fight with them.Desired Settlement: I feel that I deserve an apology for not only the delays but their misrepresentation. therefore I feel a prorated portion of the $4000 is fair and just. If we were to subtract $500 for the initial consult to help us repurpose items from our previous home we moved from, then take $3500/3, I should be reimbursed 2/3's( for the other 2 rooms never done as per contract and time frame) of $3500 along with the remainder of items promised for that room alone that was not completed, such as full scale CAD's and diagrams and the remainder of that rooms design such as fans, window treatments, art work etc.
