Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11004166, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.As of 1/12/I still have not received any invoices for materials that Mr [redacted] says he has orderedI do not know why anyone would order materials before a permit is approved for the projectI also never approved of the concrete work they wanted to do that was not what I wantedWhy would I still want anyone to go forward with work that I was not in favor of the way they wanted to do it as opposed to the way I had said many times I wanted it done? This makes no senseI am the customer and I am the one paying for the jobI wanted to see the materials list/cost prior to ordering so if needed/wanted I could make upgrades or changes in the structure/concreteI do not in any way think that you do not do a good job or that you wouldn't do a good jobIt is just not the job I want done

On 10/28/We entered in an agreement to construct a Carport and replace the original concretedriveway leading to the new proposed CarportOnce we received the sign contract ad the we started the process just as it was outlined in our contractMy Estimator, *** ***, met with you on
several occasions as well as myself to review the projectMy Estimator also accompamed you to select products from LowesHe worked on your designs and did provide you with themYou were told that your project would start in a few weeksThere was unfortunately a few small delays but we had been m contact with youWe did apply for the permitWhen you canceled the project we called the Town of Smyrna to let them know but someone had already called and canceled itNo one from staff or affiliates had done thatNo one at the Permit office knew who called that cancelation in.You did state your brother would assist you from your endWe did not have a problem with that but we do things a certain wayAfter our meeting with my Concrete contractor, *** ***, who does approximately to yards of concrete per week*** is highly trained and only uses the best materialsYou felt uneasy regarding a particular product that you and him spoke aboutYour brother is a contractor and I do respect thatHowever, for me to warranty the work that I would be performing I would need to do it our wayWhich is the right way according to the training my contractor has.AS for the deposit and refundWe have considerable amount of time in this projectHours spent on design, Materials ordered, Permits applied forI do have your roof trusses that we would like to send to your homePlease let us know what is a good time for you so we can make preparations to provide you the materials you paid forWe cannot return these productsThey are special Order items that cannot be returnedWe also have a $4,deposit for the Concrete Company to start the projectThis is also a non refundable depositYou and *** agreed that he would come down later that weekWhen I called him to tell him that you were canceling the project he was unable to fmd alternative work therefore told me that he would not be returning that deposit.I honestly feel that a reasonable resolution is for us to meet with You, your brother, my concrete contractor, and myself plus my estimator so we can reconcile We are very Interested in completing your projectI think if we are all on the same page we can get this project done ASAP and you would bemore than happyWe have over Customers that are very pleased with our servicesI honestly believe you would be the same Please let me know promptly please

I do not know why anyone would order materials before a permit is approved for the project. I also never approved of the concrete work they wanted to do that was not what I wanted. Why would I still want anyone to go forward with work that I was not in favor of the way they wanted to do it as opposed to the way I had said many times I wanted it done?  This makes no sense. I am the customer and I am the one paying for the job. I wanted to see the materials list/cost prior to ordering so if needed/wanted I could make upgrades or changes in the structure/concrete. I do not in any way think that you do not do a good job or that you wouldn't do a good job. It is just not the job I want done.
