[redacted] husband, [redacted], took...

"[redacted]" to [redacted] on 11/10/2014. At that time, he signed a Release & Disclosure form, assigning "[redacted]" to Common Burial. He also paid [redacted] for a Common Burial for "[redacted]" at that time. (Common Burial is described, on the form signed by [redacted], as "Group Burial in the country. This is an unmarked site with no casket or visitation to the actual burial site.")
"[redacted]" was released by [redacted] to The Pines, on the basis of the signed Release form on the morning of 11/10/2014. "[redacted]" was communally buried on 11/11/2014, as requested.
On 11/10/2014, [redacted], using the name [redacted], called to arrange for a cremation for her pet "[redacted]". When asked for payment, she promised to call with a credit card the next day. [redacted] called on 11/11/2014 with her credit card, but when it was run it was declined. When [redacted] was called about the decline, she thought it was probably because it was Veteran's Day and her transfer had not taken place. She asked us to try it again on 11/12/2014. The credit card was run again on 11/12/2014 in the morning, and an approval was obtained. At that point the information about "[redacted]" was given to our driver so he could pick "[redacted]" up. When he arrived at [redacted] to collect "[redacted]", they told him that "[redacted]" had been assigned to Common Burial, [redacted] had paid for Common Burial, and "[redacted]" was released to the Pines earlier that week on Monday.
Realizing that "[redacted]" could not be cremated, we called [redacted] on 11/12/2014 at the phone number listed on the signed Release & Disclosure form. We explained to him that "[redacted]" had been released to us and buried on the basis of the signed Release form and that the cremation they had wanted would not be possible. He was also told that the charges would be removed from the credit card immediately. A refund was processed on 11/12/2014.
Unfortunately, at no time did either [redacted] or [redacted] alert us to the fact that "[redacted]" had been assigned to Country Burial Service. Unfortunately, we did not realize our communications with [redacted] were not passed along to [redacted]. At the same time, conversations we had with [redacted] were not passed along to [redacted]. That left both of them feeling as though they were not being communicated with, even though the Pines has spoken to these two parties at least ten times throughout this situation.
We would also like to state that NEVER was [redacted] told to "just deal with it". An explanation of Common Burial was made to [redacted] when it became obvious that she did not know what Common Burial entailed. This explanation is a difficult one (Your pet will be buried with 70, 80 or 90 other pets in a country field specifically set aside for this purpose, with no visitation to the actual burial site) but we believe that owners should be fully informed.
To disinter "[redacted]" at this time would necessitate disturbing the other pets with whom he was buried. One of our goals here at the Pines is to bury pets so that they never have to be disturbed again, and are safe for eternity. That is why our land is deeded as a cemetery, and why we require a signed Release & Disclosure form for every pet. We had that signed release form for "[redacted]" and performed the burial as requested. It is unfortunate that [redacted] and [redacted] were not in agreement on their choice of aftercare for "[redacted]" but disinterment is not a possibility.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
[redacted]
