Dear Revdex.com,   My issue with Roberts and Michael real estate has been resolved and both parties are happy. So please make my dispute show resolved and I am happy. [redacted]

In response to this complaint. Yes we were made aware of issues arising several months back. They involved portions of the concrete driveway and back patio beginning to fail. At that time we agreed to wait until spring to address these items. During this period of waiting,...

once we felt comfortable enough with the weather to begin repairs, we met with the homeowner and he made us aware of additional items around the home. In all, there were 6 items to be addressed. After consideration, we sent him a letter to detail how we intended to repair the 5 of the 6 items that warranted our attention. The homeowner responded through email that he felt this was unacceptable with no further details other than he would figure out his options for these issues. We received this response in the evening, and the following morning this complaint was filed. We do not know if it is our solutions to these issues, a misunderstanding, or in the wording of the letter. What we intended to convey to the homeowner was although he had directed changes to the landscaping and grading of the property, which we believe resulted in a majority of these problems, we would take care of these items; but wanted to stress that if the grading is not changed back he will see future problems arise. We will even hire a civil engineer to work with the homeowner to come up with a drainage plan with the goal of attaining the look and feel of a landscape that the homeowner wants.Furthermore, the letter was not intended to try and get out of doing any of the repair work that we said we would do. Even though, through the homeowner's direction of the original landscape work, these items would not be covered by our warranty. We would just ask that the homeowner sends us a letter, or mark up our letter detailing what is unsatisfactory to them. I am sure we can come up with a solution that is acceptable. Our goal is to make the customer happy, but most importantly insure that there aren't any future problems with the home. In closing, we feel this complaint to be at the very least, premature. We understand that the homeowner is frustrated. Everybody expects a new house to be perfect, but in actuality we are dealing with imperfect materials and sometimes things happen.

I am rejecting this response because: This is completely untrue I have e-mailed and sent pictures of the issues and all I am told if they answer at all is "wait till spring." I have sent requesting a face to face meeting so these issues be resolved and I am always told it will be taken care of in the spring. Spring is here and on April 8th 2015 I received an e-mail saying they would fix a small portion of the driveway and not everything that is cracked and heaving. The garage floor has the wrong pitch so the water runs towards the door to the inside of the house. So Roberts and Michaels sends someone out to fix it by grinding the garage floor, the only thing that did was make my garage floor look terrible and everything in the garage dusty. So there fix is to  tear out my stairs I had built in the garage to pour a huge concrete stair that will not fix the problem. The reason I never sent a formal letter is because they keep telling us they will fix there mistakes so when I received there e-mail on the 8th and they blamed me for some of the thing failing I have had enough of being misled. I was hoping everything would go smoothly and everyone would do what they said but there just trying to patch up a few hole and not fix the real problem. I run a local business and the reason we are successful is because we do what we say we will do. I can e-mail you copies of all the e-mails and pictures I have sent since October 2014 till now to back up my claims. I just want what I was promised when we bought there $520,000 home, nothing more nothing less. And another thing is they promised myself and my girlfriend a year membership to the golf course we bought a house on but every time we went to play last year the person at the pro shop kept telling us we were not in the system. I have send an e-mail to the new club manager and [redacted] and no response to that either. I wanted a friendly resolution to this but they just dodge giving me for months and then put in there e-mail on April 8th that I am out of warranty now on some things. This whole situation leaves a bad taste in my mouth and because they are connected to a big company they feel like they can bully people around and I am not the guy to take it lying down and that's why I contacted the Revdex.com.
