Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: the company made NO attempt on any level to contact me regarding any problem with the order (negotiable financial instruments including my bank account number, name and address) which included NO refund until I questioned that aspect of the order as well.Again - the ONLY reason I was made aware of any problem with the order was when I checked the status of the order and found the order had been returned (without any indication of to it was returned or where it was returned)As well, I have never been provided ANY reason for the company not delivering the order - my bank confirmed correct delivery address on file to an address with hour access/desk clerk.I will follow the example of Harland Clarke - I should be as obstinate in cooperation about this orderThe only thing more ridiculous was Harland Clarke having my bank harass me with some empty apology (after the complaint to your office) while still refusing to answer any of the former concerns Regards, [redacted]

Dear Ms***,On behalf of Harland Clarke, thank you for your communication on January 29, 2016, notifying of a complaint filed by *** ***.On January 29, 2016, we attempted to contact Mr*** via the contact information you provided however, was not successful in reaching him. Therefore, contact was made with Mr***’s financial institution and a conversation occurred with *** *** / Operations Manager.In summary, on January 6, 2016, a check order was placed on Mr***’s account via Harland Clarke’s website. The shipping method chosen for the order was United States Postal Service bulk mail. Unfortunately, the order was returned on January 26, 2016, as undeliverable ("attempted not known"). This resulted in nonsufficient fund fees being applied by his financial institution. I am rejecting this response because: It is another non-truthI have attached copy of all e-mails exchanged with Harland Clarke which describe fund availability in my account and Harland Clarke error in processing not check order (I was unaware savings deposit slips had a cost)It would be impossible for them to issue me credit as I closed the USAA account due to identity theft, on 12/7/My first and final bank statement from USAA shows no credit of $as Harland Clarke would have you believeThe only credits are from USAA for some of the NSF charges associated with the Harland Clarke fiascoI have received NO compensation from Harland Clarke whatsoever!!
