See attachment (Revdex.com converted from original document See file.)We were contacted by the *** to give an estimate for a front porch with roof structure & columns, concrete patio, and an attached garage. A verbal estimate was given over the phone based on dimensions for each
item. After our conversation the sizes of each item increased as did the estimate. Budget numbers also gave options for the garage with brick veneer, without brick veneer, and half wall of brick veneer. A verbal commitment of $1,was given to proceed with design and drawings. Of which we measured existing conditions and located house to the property. Contacted the local Zoning Office for front and side back dimensions to position tof new garage to the existing house. A floor plan design was drawn up along with an elevation depicting a new front porch and garage tied into existing house. A copy was given to homeowner along with paperwork showing adjusted pricing for different sizes of each porch/garage/patio. A detailed contract was also given to homeowner to review (no signatures). There were two items not included with the bid and which was (1) the down spout drain tie-ins (as there were none, existing downspouts drained to grade) and (2) how much of existing driveway would need to be replaced based on final garage floor heights and grade, from old to new. I mentioned we would include the drywall portion of the new garage wall/roof truss that ties into existing house. The *** came to our office for another meeting and returned all paperwork and drawings (of which I assumed they had made a copy for themselves). When they decided not to move forward, we sent a bill for $for design services rendered. A copy of all paperwork, design plans and site plan has been mailed

I am rejecting this response because:
He never did give us what we asked forWe asked for X 24' garageFirst quote was for X 22' NEVER did get X - he did go up to X but with much ado. Still never got a final price from him so needless to say we didn't feel comfortable about itWe were about to tell him to go ahead and do the porch IF the price stayed the sameBut then we got the bill and decided it would be best not to do business with him
