My name is [redacted] and I am the Resident Services Coordinator here at [redacted]. Thank you for reaching out to us about the complaint that was made on 3/12/15. I see the complaint...

is in reference to our designated resident parking lot. I do apologize for any inconvenience this  caused [redacted], however our entrance and exits to our resident lots are clearly marked. In order to protect our residents and allow them the use of this private lot , we require all residents to display a parking sticker on their cars as the lot is clearly stated “permit parking only” after the hours of 6pm. [redacted] was granted permission to tow from the lot all cars with no parking permits as stated by the parking signs. In regards to the towing we do not profit in any way other than our residents happiness. As I understand the inconvenience of the towing on [redacted]’s, I also understand the inconveniences my residents have faced coming home from work with nowhere to park before the permit parking had been executed. Please let me know if you would need any further documentation on my behalf and thank you again for reaching out to us. Thank you [redacted] |Resident Services Coordinator [redacted]

Review: We were billed for 1.5 hours of work that did not nor should not have taken nearly that long. Truck got stuck under a bridge less than 100 ft from where it was towed. Air was released from the tires to clear the bridge. Billing time from towing company stated from 9:15am on 11/18/13 to 10:45am. The towing company was called by the local police whose report clearly shows the time of the incident is 9:53am. No tow was authorized by our company. Tow company claims that they were required to come by police request. They then used 2 trucks to move the vehicle when only one was necessary. They claim the truck was towed to their yard, but was pulled into [redacted] Service Center, just a stones throw from the bridge. They then proceded to lock the truck, driver and his helper in this yard by themselves until around 1pm that day. I complained about the bill for $2233.25 being overly excessive for what was completed. They said that was what needed to be charged. I advised that I would call them back. I called them back after realizing that they had our truck and men held hostage until they got their money. They then agreed to lower the bill to $1800. I voiced my disapproval that I was still being grossly overcharged and was told that was as low as they could go. I had no choice but to pay the bill so that my crew could continue on their way. The driver had to call us to contact [redacted] to get them out, a half hour after the bill was paid. We have pictures to document the location.Desired Settlement: At the most I feel we should have been charged for 45 minutes with one truck, not two. Based on their rates we should only have been charged $431.25. That would give us a refund of $1368.75.

Review: On 3/7/15, I dined at [redacted] restaurant. I had never been there before, but when I got there, I realized that the lot was full and much of the surrounding parking spots belonged to apartments. I saw spots that were clearly marked as "Residents Only".

I finally found a small lot that appeared safe. I saw a [redacted] and a Law Office, both of which were closed. The lot was full and there were no signs, and I saw that the apartments were across the street. I was towed anyway, and had to pay $132.94, in cash, to get my car back.

The Robert's employee informed me that there was a Tow Away sign, but that sign was on the main road, near the bank. I entered the lot from the back end and there were no signs.

When I realized my car had been towed, there were 2 tow trucks in that lot, towing cars away.

I called [redacted] on March 11. I was informed that they were just "doing their job"; that [redacted] called them to tow away the cars that were parked on their property. However, I believe they have a duty to make sure that the cars are properly warned before towing. I believe that [redacted] has an arrangement with [redacted]. It is completely UNFAIR to tow cars without properly warning them that they are in a Tow Away Zone.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of my $132.94
