Review: Robertson Fence & Railing, owner [redacted] Robertson, was issued a deposit check in the amount of $1,800.OO on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 for the installation of 94' of black, aluminum fencing. The contract also called for the tear out and disposal of the old fence, one latch assembly, a gate adjustment, and one corner post. The proposal/contract signed by Mr. Robertson and my husband, [redacted], indicated that estimated work date would be " 2 - 3 weeks" after the deposit was received. As two months have now passed and the check has been cashed, numerous telephone calls went unanswered; voice mail messages not returned (currently the voice mail message box is full and taking no additional messages); and email messages not responded to we are extremely concerned if this contract will be upheld. The proposal/contract letterhead shows: Robertson Fence & Railing, Owner: [redacted] Robertson, [redacted], PA [redacted]. Mr. Robertson crossed out the address and replaced with "[redacted], PA [redacted]".Desired Settlement: We would like the $1,800.00 returned to us as soon as possible in the form of a cashier's check or money order.

Review: Robertson Fence installed a fence with a wide custom gate in our yard in February 2013. At the completion of the job, my wife expressed concern that the gate, which is extra wide, was on the verge of sagging. Jay R[redacted], the owner and installer, explained that he routinely re-adjusts gates for his customers and that he would be happy to come back and re-adjust ours if necessary. By the end of the summer of 2013, the gate was sagging. In addition, the stationary rod that was drilled into the driveway over which the gates hang was not drilled deeply enough. In December 2013, the wind busted the gates open, dragging and bending the rod, breaking a picket and the gate hardware. We have left Mr. Robertson two voice mails and followed up with two emails describing the problem and have received no response. A few weeks ago, we noticed one section of the fence has detached from a corner post and is on the verge of coming down.Desired Settlement: Robertson Fence and Railing needs to do the following at their expense:

Replace the gate hardware including the latch, handle and rod.

Replace the broken gate picket.

Re-drill hole for stationary rod.

Re-adjust sagging gate.

Re-attach detached section of fence.
