[redacted] Received 2nd call from Mr. [redacted] that the trailer was ready for pick up and that one of the tires was flat. Told Mr. [redacted] that this was a common occurrence as we do a lot of roofing jobs and the tires sometimes get nails in them.
Received a call from my driver just before noon when he arrived to pick up the trailer instructing me that the client overfilled the trailer. He told me he asked Mr. [redacted] why he overloaded the trailer and Mr. [redacted] gave my driver the same response I received from him at a later date that there was still more room in the trailer to put more. Mr. [redacted] had placed, in our expert experience, between 7.5-8 tonnes of old sods and dirt in a 4710 kg capacity (as indicated on the DOT required tag on the front of the trailer [redacted]. The remaining 3 tires were bulging and flattened from the excess weight. [redacted]. Weight capacities are defined by the Department of Transportation and not each individual companies. If my driver had been stopped by a DOT representative then he would receive a large fine and driving suspension and Wee Dump Inc. would be out of business as I only have 1 driver. [redacted]
12:00 Noon: Upon receiving the call from my driver that the trailer was overloaded and Mr. [redacted] would not do anything about it my driver would need assistance hand balming the excess weight off the trailer manually until enough weight has been unloaded before the trailer would tip its load on its own. [redacted] drive to the location that we found to disposed of Mr. [redacted]'s fill at no cost to Mr. [redacted] and assist my driver (pictures of overloaded trailer and tires attached).

In Summary, Mr. [redacted] should know weight capacities are not the same
area capacities [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] should have known when he started seeing the tires bulge and going flat that there he was putting too much weight in the trailer. At the very least he should have called our office for further advice on how to proceed. [redacted]
The additional $200 over weight charge was charged because your load of fill and grass ends should have taken at least two loads to the max capacity of my trailer. I don't have a bigger trailer hence the size you received [redacted]
